Stempniak signed with the Rags. If I a rangers fan, I really like that move.
He went to Minnesota because he has a great connection with the city. University of Minnesota is where he played his college hockey and he cites the school for the reason of his great success. My opinion on Vanek, he's an idiot. He left being a potential winger to John Tavares, he landed in MTL made it to ECF, and now he's going to Minnesota for what? Not money, like was said before, he could have stayed in NY and made money. Not winning. They were as close as you can be to the Stanley cup, some would argue that series would have went different hadn't price went down. His intentions are as murky as they can be. In my opinion I don't think Vanek knows what Vanek is doing. So glad he didn't come to Pittsburgh.
Apbk, just like you can't hate Vanek for going to Minn for friends and family I can't count Josh Harding out for his MS. He didn't get into the league by accident. Give the man a chance to play, I believe this season will be unhindered.
Also do not forget about Darcy Kümper. He is a young goalie who had an illustrious junior career, given the circumstance that Harding goes down again, he may have his chance to shine.
