At the end of the day, nothing matters more than this.....

You have to play the team they pair you up against. It is that simple. D5 has a tough draw. There really isn't a solution to fixing it. I'm sure going into the Orange Bowl, Northern Illinois isn't going to say that is a tough draw with Florida State, can we get an easier game? Its the state playoffs, nothing is easy.

A lot of late hits against ferens. None more obvious then the late int ferens had. No one from bm even acknowledges that hit

And to show I'm not biased PMS team from last year clearly had a ton of dirty hits. That mo valley game was a disgrace

I've watched that hit over again, and the play was a late hit. But not for the reasons most people think. As it was told by me from a Penns Manor fan..... "Danny gave himself up" But I saw Danny try to cut it back to the inside and slipped. I don't think the McCort kid was going for an injury, but desperately trying to save their season. He was at the point where it would have been tough to slow down. I thought the first ten yards after the interception, the game was over. I didn't think any way in the world he would not score on that play.


Now, a lot of late hits. Again, I didn't see anything in poor showing from either team. A few times some Penns Manor kids would throw the McCort linemen after the whistle, and a couple of times McCort piled on. If there were any noticeable calls, the refs would have called it.

I went to close to 20 games this season, I didn't see kids playing dirty. I was warned that certain teams play dirty or cheap, but I never got that sense from watching the game. Its a dangerous game as it is, I'm not going to call a 16 year old kid a "dirty player"

There's no point in arguing with you. You can sit all high and mighty on your thrown. I was only stating my opinion and giving an explanation to support my opinion. This was all simply about comparing D5 and D7, but you keep throwing D6 in the mix.

The difference is that most legit D6 schools wouldn't go CRYYYYING about it. They would come to play no matter what. Even Berlin..D5 Berlin's coaches and (most) players came to compete last friday. It was the Berlin && D5 fans and some players taking RIDICULOUS cheap shots that is what's pathetic and REEEEEEKKKS of that victim, OH WE ARE JUST A SMALL DISTRICT non-competitive nonsense. No place for it...never will be.

District 5 is a bunch of cryers because you saw a few cheap shots at the game, and a few idiots said inappropriate things? Nice logic with that comment.Did berlin forfeit? No they showed up and played. I guess showing up and giving your best isn't enough for you guys. What is totally wrong and is no better than the people who said those things is ripping on kids from district 5 and berating them. Apparently you guys better start playing AYSO too,because Clairton will crush any representative you guys can bring to the plate too! thats the truth brother.... just do a search on the jtown/fh bm/richland bm/jtown and see how they talk about racism and cheap shots rotten fans etc.... those in glass houses should not throw stones.

IMO stop complaning about the matchup and field a team that can beat them. No matter what you will play them eventually in the playoffs

I don't understand why people have an issue of berlin going for it on fourth down several times. It was quite obvious that it didn't really matter if clariton got the ball on their own one or berlin's forty they were still going to score unless they penalized themselves into a hole as they did twice. I feel like if you don't go for it on forth down you aren't giving your team a chance.

After reading serveral post on here about how the Berlin fans were acting at Friday nights game, I feel I must post my thoughts about this.

First, I don't live in Somerset County, I try to go to all Playoff games just to see some good teams and some good players play so I'm neutral here as to which team I wanted to see win.

I don't know where Ghost was standing that night but from where I was standing, along the fence, I seen first hand who was there to start trouble.
Believe me, some Clairton fans were there just to pick a fight. They were standing there calling names and making rude comments to the players and then to the fans that were standing around that area.
A person can only take so much of this so I can see why some of the Berlin fans were saying some of the things they were saying back.

Most of the Berlin fans that I talked to, gave nothing but good compliments about the Clairton players.
They knew their team wasn't going to win but their team was there to give it a good shot.

As I stated, Clairton fans were far from being perfect that night.....I seen that with my own eyes. They were very very cocky, thats for sure!

So, to get on here and post only about how Berlin fans were acting badly is totally uncalled for.
I feel Berlin is getting a bad rap because its only being posted about how some of their fans were acting that night.....lets post on here about how Clairton fans were acting that night also.

All I want to say is, there is ALWAYS two sides to every story...lets be fair here and tell both sides!
Congrats to Clairton...they are a great team to watch but their fans are far from being angels!
