Wow, I struck a nerve.

I was referring to those I was arguing with, those that favored the death of Terri Schiavo and those that feel child molesting only causes a "little" psychological damage.

Didn't mean to group you all into that. I honestly didn't. But some of you (and you know who you are) deserved it. I happen to know quite a few youngsters that have a great appreciation for life, including quite a few on this board.

And it was way past my bedtime, so the choice of words wasn't the best. I will apologize for that.

Count - you should have known better. You've read enough of my posts to realize I wasn't grouping everyone.

Reading some of your posts, it's obvious you have a great amount of respect for Pope John Paul II. I do too. So, my question to you is, how do you think he felt about the killing of Terri Schiavo?

And besides, if some of you read my posts, you would have gathered that most of my ire was directed toward DCPassarelli, who has his age listed as 17 (going on 12). He's the one that's still wet behind the ears that I probably could never find common ground with.

my personal opinion is that i would not have wanted to live like that and that she should have made a living will. I agree with allowing her to die, but i DO NOT agree with how they went about it.

The Pope himself said this about his condition "I want to live as long as i can NATURALLY" Like i said she needed to go to a better place...but not the way they went about it.

The Pope also made a speech not too long ago that life should be extended by ordinary means, that no one should be denied food and water and he denounced what was going on in this case. That cannot be denied.

Heh, we may find a bit of common ground in topics that haven't been discussed as of yet -- or at least since I have joined the boards. One such thing is gun control. Also, I truly don't hope you think I would lie about something as mundane as my age on something it truly does not matter on. If you don't trust it, ask Bedrock. He can confirm it. LionPride, how can you judge a persons life, and their life experience, by what they say? Are you a psychiatrist? If so, you obviously aren't a very good one. So he didn't want her body to starve. Neither did I. I still think it was better then forcing her body to remain in it's state.

Finally, I have great respect for human existence. It simply differs from yours.

I feel quite confident that Pope John Paul II would have been very critical of the way Terri Schaivo died. The pope was as pro-life.....that includes being against abortion and the death penalty.
