Re: LHAC Football 2005
You are correct, fairweatherfan, McCort is known for their great footwork.
Re: LHAC Football 2005
Pads or not, there are to be NO organized practices with coaches present before a certain date in August. Both men I talked about were alerted to the scene at UPJ when they heard "coaches" blowing their whistles down on the practice field. One look and there it was. Maybe they should have put "silencers" on their whistles. And for years there has been speculation about practices behind St. Andrews church during the summer.

I still don't understand how they are not a better football team. They're just "okay"! C'mon, Kenny.

Re: LHAC Football 2005
Well, if you are right about the NO practices with coaches before August then I have to be a rat in this situation. I know that Johnstown and Bishop Carrol BOTH have practice with no pads on around the same time McCort does. Why arent we on their case? And for your information, the practices behind St. Andrews school would be freshman learning plays. Dont talk unless you know what your talking about k pumpkin?

Re: LHAC Football 2005
There is no rule saying that teams cannot lift weights together or run routes together WITHOUT PADS OR COACHES in the summer.
And freshmen in pads practicing is still practicing in pads, cowboy.

Re: LHAC Football 2005
Still. Freshmen or not. It is Illegal to have organized practices with coaches present before a certain date in the summer. Why can't you understand that???? So if other schools do it illegally, it makes it right for McCort to do it??? I thought they were a Christian school and played by the rules. 9th graders practicing behind St. Andrews with coaches present is ILLEGAL. Plain and simple. If they want to learn plays, give them a playbook, and let them all practice together around August when everyone else does. Not several months sooner. You don't think that this gives them an unfair advantage over the other teams in the area who abide by the rules?????

Re: LHAC Football 2005
ok mr. rule book. i personally dont think that is a rule. if it is why wouldnt they get in trouble already? also, the one thing i want to know is, why isnt the constant bickering, complaining, and negative comments towards the other schools who do it? im not saying it makes us right for us to do it but im saying why exactly is McCort the only school to be under scrutiny. Why dont you complain about Johnstown sir? Or Carrol sir? come back with a legitament answer to that and i will stop this whole argument. but im not going to only because YOU CANT. face it chum, its about something personal with mccort.

Re: LHAC Football 2005
Okay. If freshmen are in shorts and shirts practicing behind St. Andrews, that is absolutely fine... as long as no coaches are there! That, my friend, is an illegal practice.
I don't think you understand this. Listen. It is absolutely illegal to hold off-season practices in pads or with coaches present. If 20 kids call eachother and decide to go lift weights together, that is NOT illegal. It IS illegal if they are outside running plays while assistant or head coaches are present, OR they are in pads, OR both. That is illegal.
I have never heard anyone say anything about Johnstown or Carroll. Why did they even come up? If Johnstown and Carroll are practicing illegally, they should obviously be nailed as well.

This is the first time I have heard about Johnstown and Carroll. Do you have any film on this???
