You heard stories gunner. Fiction

Besides if the above is true who really cares its just a kicker. lol

if memory serves correctly...ridge lost last year in the playoffs due to missed PATs...kickers matter!

Gunner---
Not sure the last name theory holds water. The man you refer to Jesus, was his last name associated with Bedford athletics. I'll answer that for you. First person in family to ever play sports at BHS.

He played because after the kicker kickoffs the kicker needs to be able to make a tackle.

Reality check---If kicker A could kick 60 yard field goals then kicker A would be on athletic scholarship. Kicker A is not being honest.

I agree Bedrock sounds like that kind of story I here all the time. Because they don't start or play much the reason is because the coach is freinds with the starters dad or doesn't like his dad or something to that effect. Not because he wants to admit that he needs to work harder to get better and win the job over someone else. Thats never the case.

Ok, so there never has been any football staffing decisions made for political reasons. But it does happen in other areas of the world.

It is often driven by the administration taking the course of least resistance.

bedrock, true he was the first in his family to play, but didnt his family help the team in many ways and were some of the biggest supporters of the team?

if kicker A can get touchbacks, then who really cares if he can tackle or not?

finally, kicker A could kick at least 55 yard field goals, you should know as you were the holder (penn cambria ring a bell?)

Oldschool when are you going to get over this Jr. High fetish of yours? If I didn't know better I would think you are living vicariously through these kids. NO ONE cares what a school's Jr. High (and worse yet 7th and 8th grade) record is. And by the way, where would one look to find state Jr. High winning records and who would even think of researching such info?!?
Let me ask this? If Chestnut Ridge's 7th grade team beats Bedford (as they did this week) but the varsity loses to Bedford in District playoffs would you consider Ridge to have had a successful season? Don't bother replying, I know your answer. Best of luck and keep pumping out those Jr. High wins!!

so the team from 4 years ago that started this whole "23-2" business are juniors now correct? 7+4=11 i believe. so that means that they will lose or have already lost more than they did as 7th graders?
