Detroit deserves all accolades.....and are keeping their composure. Of the 31 teams to win the first two games of the finals at home, 30 have captured the Cup. I guess one could say the odds are not good!!! But Pens have not lost @ home in OVER 3 MONTHS!!! Do they have 3 more home wins in 'em...plus one victory in Det.??

What was Pittsburgh's coache's complaint that he felt the refs were being too leaniant on? Something about obstruction?
And is that Detroit goalkeeper a flopper or what??

it looks like sid the kid and roberts are the only ones out on the ice playing with passion and the will to win. everyone else looks like they are in la la land.
hopefully, the home crowd will give them a much needed boost

osgood always provokes things. he did it during the stars series when he butted a guy in the face with the end of his stick and a huge brawl broke out and again last night when sykora was skating in, it looked like osgood purposely got in his way. we need colby armstrong right now to just take a run at him!!!

I don't know so much about the Sykora hit, to me it looked like Sykora did give a little bit of a shoulder to him. But, what was worse was the interference on Malone when, to me, it looked like Osgood tried to crosscheck Malone and ended up falling over backwards...terrible call.... And the last thing on my mind, WHERE IS JEFF TAFFE? He didn't have a lot of points during the regular season, but he's like the energizer bunny, he keeps going and going and going. Put him, Kennedy, and Ruutu on a line and good things will happen.

walter, those three have been a productive line all season with puck possession in the opponents end. i don't know why MT doesn't have them out there.

I've been super busy and haven't gotten to watch the first 2 games!! From what I saw, the squid throwers are ridiculous from their red line back to the net and don't give up ANYTHING. Does anyone know what MT was talking abute with the obstruction rule?

It's called working the refs...trying to get an edge/call!

I am just getting into hockey, I don't watch TSN, I don't like Barry Melrose, I don't really read internet news very much. But here is what I have gathered. Detroit looks like a Bradley against a Polish cavalry out there. It is unreal how quickly the Wings get to the puck, cover every inch of the ice, and play what i see as simply professional hockey. Pittsburgh is getting frustrated, erratic, they are out of position, they can't guard the front of the net, the defense is getting pushed all over the place, and Detroit's defense is so tight right now that we can't even get close enough to get a shot off. I am not at all denying that the Pens are the best team in the East, but they are very outmatched right now. Who knows, maybe they'll get swept and then win the Cup next season. Didn't that happen to Edmonton when we were kids? I'm pretty sure it did. People keep getting on Malkin about disappearing. Tell me a player who is APPEARING. I mean, other than Chris Letang, who is APPEARING to be the worst player on the team. That guy seems like he is too little to be a starting defenseman. Roberts played pretty well, I thought. But he's not an even trade for a returning Franzen by any stretch. They are simply getting outclassed, and to be honest, is there a franchise in professional sports better than the Detroit Red Wings have been over the past 15 years?
Guys, I hope Pittsburgh wins 4 straight as of tonight, but this is not a case of home ice.
