Moldy....I guess you now see that Paul Chryst is doing the exact same thing Chambers did? Where are the interviews from the Davis twins? They just disappeared into the night. Paul Chryst is bringing in his own guys much like Chambers did. As I said earlier in the thread, Chryst will be bringing in another 27+ recruits this year. The same thing you fault Chambers for.

As a closet PSU fan, I really don't care what Chryst does. BUT, in all fairness to him, where did you hear that he "encouraged" the Twins to leave? According to their dad, they left on their own accord, not after a "meeting" with the head coach. And where did you hear that Chryst is bringing in 27 recruits for next year. If so, he better get a move on. He only has one who gave a verbal for next year. And of course, there is a BIG difference in football and basketball recruiting. In basketball, you can only give out 13 scholarships per team per year. It is ULTRA important for basketball coaches to get good players. Chambers knows it, and will stop at NOTHING to get the best players for his roster, even if "creaning" is involved. Football can give out 85 scholarships per year (unless sanctions prevent it, like what's happening to us with the upcoming 65 limit). Since there a SO many kids on a football team, coaches don't HAVE to drop players, unless they are concerned about a certain position (like the Steve Bench debacle). So before we criticize our enemy Pitt, let's look in the mirror first and clean up our own act.

The Bench debacle? You'll twist anything that happens at PSU to fit your narrative, or should I say your BS posts. Maybe you should write a fiction book with the imagination you have. The only debacle is ANY response you post!!!!

He says, this isn't high school anymore. You can't expect to be handed the starting job. Obviously someone was performing at a higher level and there are not enough practice snaps to make everyone happy. See you later or stay and work a little harder! Just glad the shyster was able to be honest with the kid and told him he wouldn't be getting 1st string snaps in the fall.

Since this was a topic originally about Pat Chambers, I see where Jermaine Marshall is leaving the PSU basketball program. Wonder if kirk is concerned about this? He was hot to trot about guys leaving Pitt's basketball program. Maybe he can enligthten us about why basketball players keep leaving Penn State. That's FOUR players who have left the team after this past season, with eligibility still remaining (Sasa, Ackerman, Alosa, Marshall). At least at Pitt, players were leaving to get more playing time somewhere else. At Penn State, 2 players (Ackerman and Alosa) were TOLD to hit the road. Sasa and Marshall, both starters with eligibility left for next season, just wanted to get the hell out of there. Period. Both were probably tired of the team being praised for "diving for loose balls".
