TAE, what do you think of McGuffie for Michigan? He is from Texas, but UT did not have enough scholarships to offer him. He has looked pretty good this season.

I hate to say this but I've never seen a kid run so "white" in my life, and still make people miss. He looks so straight up and down and stiff that it's bizarre to watch, yet it's effective.

After watching the Michigan ND game, I'm gonna say PSU's defensive line will have its way with the o-line of Big Blue. PSU, even after the injuries and suspensions, are still beasts upfront on the D-line, and the LB play is solid.
BUT, this is Michigan, and Penn State always finds a way to lay an egg against them. So time will tell. They need to get past Illinois, Purdue and Wisconsin before worrying about Michigan.

From May 17th, 2007:
A few weeks ago, I posted a thread asking "Would You Want this Kid in Your Locker Room?" It was referring to Sam McGuffie, a RB from Cypress, Texas. In an interview, McGuffie verbally ran-down a lot of players already at the college level (at a major program at that), and talked as if he was God's gift to whatever program babied him enough, and was seemingly "lucky enough", to get his commitment.
I can't find the original post, but this is the just of it in another thread.
McGuffie has an attitude problem. He's very good, but the stuff he said in his recruitment was insane. He went on a trip to LSU and came home and did nothing but talk "crap" on the LSU RB's. He basically ruined it for himself with USC by acting like such an idiot. He wanted to go to USC and guess who quit showing interest after his character got revealed. Is it any wonder he is playing for Rich Rodriguez?

Phil Bennett really is turning Pitt around. Last weekend marked the first time since 2004 that Pitt beat a school in the MAC.

At least the coaching staff at Pitt is doing a great job with keeping discipline issues, arrests and off the field problems at a minimum. That is more than what the team in the centre of the state can say.

And they're the only team in the country to have such problems this year?
