2009 Super Bowl.
Re: 2009 Super Bowl.
Just watched Shepard Smith interview Tony Dungy (great guy!). Final statement when asked who he thought would win, "Once a Steeler, always a Steeler".

Re: 2009 Super Bowl.
Exactly why Whisenhunt will throw the game for the Cardinals. Once a Steeler, always a Steeler. Right?

I cant believe the superbowl is already tomorrow. Kind of depressing knowing how much longer we will have to wait to watch football again.

Re: 2009 Super Bowl.
Halftime. All I can say about that Harrison pick for 6 is wow. Longest play in super bowl history. 100 yard interception return. I cant believe that happened still. I was screaming for him to go out of bounds so the Steelers could at least gotten a field goal with time remaining, but hey Ill take a touchdown in that situation.
The Steelers defense is doing a very good job at containing Fitzgerald for one catch with only 12 yards so far. They gave up only one big play that led to the Cardinals touchdown. They are stopping the run, but leaving the flats open to James for short pass completions. They've gotten lucky with a few dropped passes, and bad passes by Warner with the help of a little bit of pressure. Only one sack so far, but they are shaking Warner up with some pretty good shots.
I think Tomlin should have went for the touchdown instead of the field goal on that first drive. Its the super bowl for crying out loud! All or nothing! If you dont make it you have the best defense in the NFL forcing a team to drive 99 yards for a score. Your odds are pretty dang good.
Ben doesnt look nervous at all. Hes doing a great job eluding defenders and making big plays happen to keep drives going much like he has all year.
I gotta give credit to the Cardinals though. I didnt really think they would be hanging with the Steelers as much as they are. Its been a pretty good super bowl thus far.
If the Steelers keep the momentum on their side for the second half after that huge interception return, we'll be seeing the 6th Lombardi in Pittsburgh.
Go Steelers!

Steelers D is in need of a play to win this game. Little over 5 to go...and the Pittsburgh O hasn't shown any signs of wanting to win another ring. Let's go Steeler's Defense!
