Shade 69
CV 56

Not a great game by any means. Shade I thought played alright but not nearly as good as they can. There defense was so-so but not near as good as it has been most of the season and on offense they struggled from 3 land. As for CV they looked like a team without any senior leadership. Coach Lupek didnt even look to be interested in the game. In my opinion North Star was the best team in the North not CV. But give them credit they won the games they needed to to get to where they are. I look for them to definitly be back in the WPAC game next year and most likely win it.

If you stayed around for the trophy awards, you'd have heard that this is the FIRST WestPac title for any sport at Shade. Congratulations to the Panthers of Shade. It took them one year to reach their goal of getting back to the WestPac Championship game, but they reached the outcome they set their sights on.

I agree with you to a certain extent about North Star being the best team in the North. The only problem was, the games they needed to win to PROVE they were the best in the north, backfired. A few examples would be the close loss @ CV and the that hurt them the most: the 67-36 loss at CT.

Being the best team is also a relative term. You can go by the whole season, which is necessary to get a fair matchup for the championship game, or you can go by how they're doing right now. By no means did CT have a great season, but they won 6 of 7 conference games down the stretch and proved they were better now than both North Star and CV, and pulled within one game of the north lead to finish the season.
