Good post, looks like pretty solid evidence here.The same kinda thing shows up in almost every other sport too.Roadie I hate to point the finger at cashman but he is the president.If he can't do something someone else needs in to make some noise.Why don't the papers pick up on this story like they did others on here? Time to even the playing field!

injunidr has proven the point. Instead of making there own classification or making them all play in AAAA, why shouldn't they have to play in the classification of the public school district they reside in? :idea:

Maybe if the non-public schools would fit the criteria of the AAAA schools, they would play in that division, but considering most AAAA schools have 400 kids in ONE grade, while many parochial schools have that in the whole school, that idea doesn't even seem plausible.

They may not be AAAA, but being that they don't have a district of their own non-public schools should be considered as a co-op and the same rule be inforced. The student count from the school districts that the non-public students would have attended would set the classification for the non-public school. IMO no non-public school should be below AAA.

If parochial schools are so desireable, why do any single A's even exist. What % of the students and/or student athletes come up through the parochial school system. Which stars on all those state championship teams were recruited. I'll tell you it's hard to argue sending your kid to a parochial school for the education, structured enviroment, prayer and a side benefit of being part of a strong athletic program. It definately gives your kid a leg up.

Just came home from the TM-BG girls game.....first congrats to BG for their win.....secondly, Congrats to TM and Coach Gates for a great season.........now to the point i'm wondering about private and public schools.........it seems to me even their academic program is different than public schools......especially when it comes to the Math that JPGREEN6578 learned at BG........he stated that BG had trouble fielding a girls team.....he must have meant a girls football team......at the game i was at today, BG had 5 girls on the court and 12 subs on the bench....at a public school that adds up to 17, apparently that is a different number at BG....The TM team had 5 starters and 9 subs that equals 14 and we didn't even have to recruit these girls....
