if you give westmont mccort's coaches. they're easily a lhac contender year in and year out, those coaches would of had keklak averaging 150 yards a game behind those hoss's ketchum and curry. but that was last year. but im sure they could almost do the same again.

T.J ran for over 1,000 in only 10 games, so 150 per game is not a stretch by any means. The coaching wasn't the problem at Westmont, the team just didn't play as a unit. For some reason these Westmont kids come into half of their games thinking because their team looks better than the other on paper the team's going to lay down for them. Lately Westmont has been very talented but the people just don't care much about the football team, they are more concerned with the drama and politics than winning games. It's also hard to win games with a first year head coach who just entered the LHAC, compared to Bailey or Fetzer who've coached against the same competition for years. McCort's coaches are very good, from top to bottom I'd say the best in the LHAC. FH was close or ahead until Myers left for Heights. But the players at McCort also help Salem look like a genious at times. I've seen one too many stupid calls by Salem to go for it on 4th where Brad Barbin makes a ridiculous play on a fake punt. That's not good coaching, that's good playing. IF BM doesn't get some good talent via transfers in the next few years we'll really find out how good McCort's staff and Salem are with the little talent they have coming up.

Westmont has good coaches now, just give them a year or two to put in their system and you'll see the results

I hate the 3-3-5. I cannot see it ever working in HS football. in the college game it has had limited success in a couple places. Kinda a bend but dont break defense. Although Mount does very well with it.

great post Username. You basically just summed up my feelings on the spread offense and 3-3-5 defense in highschool football that I never could really put into words. IMO with the spread offense you are guaranteed to get an upset or two with the high risk high reward offense, but you will also lose a couple games you shouldn't by not running the football.

Just because its called spread doesnt mean they dont run. good spread teams still run the ball alot. WVU, Boise, Florida, there are more. Getting into spread and tossing the ball 50 plus times is what kills you. Spread you can still run it, but like User said the idea that Highschool is Madden and you can sit back and throw the ball all over the yard misconception.

What exactly makes an offense the "spread" vs I just run shot gun and put madden passing routes in?

Nothing really you can run spread and throw the ball 50 times. But teams that run with it spread the field pull linebackers outta the box and force safteys outside the hashes and then run option or read zone fun stuff like that. or you can do the same thing and throw the ball. Or you can do both. The problem with high school is that qbs that can zing the ball that much and effectively are few and far between.

Why hate??? Is it the 64 points vs the Crushers during the past two seasons? (Thanks Maxpreps!)

Without a Dvision I QB during the past two seasons, this is pretty good production vs the 2 time defending D6 Champs!

Personally, I would like to see Domonkos play QB in a spread type offense for the Crushers this fall.

Well in that case I guess only your senior year mattered. Honestly though it is true, with the difference in talent levels and the caliber of athletes mccort brings in, they should NEVER lose to almost any local public school.
