"When Penn State is ranked in the top 10 this year to start the year, is 9-0 going into the Ohio State game........."

This quote by Ham is either him saying the 1st nine games for psu are cupcakes or he is saying psu will get thumped by OSU. He never mentions what will happen to their ranking after that game.

He only mentions the start of the year and then up to the OSU game. I guess he figures after the OSU game psu hopes are all but done.

What I'm saying is I believe Penn State is good enough to be 9-0 going into the Ohio State, same goes for Ohio State. And, in July, I don't feel comfortable saying whether they're good enough to beat Ohio State yet. Nothing more, nothing less than that.

I was actually impressed last year how much PSU still did incorporate Zugg, Bracket, and Powell in the receiving corps. Playing behind Norwood, Butler, and Williams means those guys were never the primary read and the fact they had any receptions was impressive. I can remember quite a few big catches by these guys. Lets not forget that Quarless and Shuler are both great TE's that will be thrown the ball a good bit. Clark won't have a problem finding people to throw to.

Impressed???? Powell had 2 catches last year. Moye had 3, and Zug had 11. Sure he had a big catch against OSU, but that's like saying that Devlin was impressive because he threw one good pass against the Buckeyes. I kind of like it when PSU recruits a player at one position, and then they move him around and then say that was our plan all along. Yea, right. Of the top receivers for PSU this season, only Zug and Moye were receivers in high school. One became a walk-on at PSU and the other only caught 16 passes as a senior. What else can I say. And doesn't it tell you sometyhing when PSU is thinking about a 2 tight end offense???? Maybe it means that the WR corps will be DOWN this year and they have little choice. What the heck is going to happen when Quarless gets in trouble again? Hey, maybe no one will get hurt and he won't miss any playing time.

Well what they hell did u expect out of these guys Moldo. They were all on the depth chart behind Williams, Norwood, and Butler. Not to mention the fact that the TE's were good for some catches as well. There are only so many passing plays in the season. Yeah, I was impressed. How many balls did these guys drop? I can't think of any off the top of my head. I made a point to watch these guys last year to see what was in store for this year and they were always open, blocked down field, and ran excellent routes. So if PSU recruits at one position and it turns out he would be much more beneficial to the team in another position they are suppose to keep him at his original position only because they recruited him there. Your logic here is absolutely ridiculous.

Keep digging Moldo.

Look, I don't care why they didn't play alot last year. The point is, THEY DID NOT PLAY MUCH!!!!! This translates into problems with these guys because of lack of experience during game conditions. And you spent alot of time last year watching the downfield blocking by second-string wide receivers, then you, my friend, need some help. And as far as PSU changing positions of their recruits, PSU doesn't care about each player and what they want. PSU will only do what the team wants, whether or not the players like it. So if you are recruited by pSU, just beware. They could care less about you. They only care about the team. Just ask Justin King.

When PSU is up by 30 points in the second half (like they were for nearly every home game last season), what else is there to watch? Unlike you, I didn't just realize 5 days ago that all three of PSU's receivers graduated last season. Also unlike you, I actually cheer for a team that has conference and national title aspirations each season so yeah I did take the time to see what the receivers for this year were gonna do.

As far as your Penn State doesn't care about their players argument, that doesn't hold water either. If the player wants to stay at the position they were recruited at then all they have to do is be the best at that position. Brackett could be 4th team QB this year but instead he will be an important part of the offense. Ask him which one he would rather be? Justin King played at the position he was recruited at so i'm not sure where you are going with that one. His freshman year instead of playing 0 plays Penn State put him on offense so he got to play some.

Are you sure what you're talking about? You know, there ARE potentially 5495 registered users on this site that could be reading what you are saying. And you're telling all of us that Penn State recruited Justin King out of high school to play defense for the Nits, and then promptly made him play offense as a true freshman so "he got to play some"!!!!!! Are you kidding. What kind of coaching staff pulls a boner like that? I mean, why didn't they "let him play some" at his future position that first year? Maybe they should have let Devlin play at linebacker his first year at PSU to prepare him for his future at QB. Unbelieveable. Of course, it was that crack PSU staff that let Morelli play ONE measily play against Wisconsin that cost him an entire year of eligibility. WOW!!

You just keep digging deeper Moldo,

Who was he gonna play over that year at corner? Alan Zemaitis and Anwar Phillips both were head and shoulders better than him his freshman year. What is PSU suppose to put him out there even though he is not better than any of them? Ask him if he would have rather redshirted, not played at all, or played some spot offense and my bet is he wasnt that unhappy with how they used him. Its not like he never went back to corner he started there the following 2 seasons.
