I think not.
If I had not read this I would not have believed it. Hate is indeed an ugly thing to even attempt to tarnish such an accolade. You r such a big man AC

MCCort took the 1st string defense out the series before n then a back up safety intercepted Ramires. Seidel who was already out defensively scored with under 8 minutes remaining to tie his recently deceased father's record and was done for the nite. Ramires played 3 series n Baily kept throwing vs BM's backups n jv team. When ur team is so dependent on ur qb like Richland why have him running around n throwing against back ups for 3 series?
But this Moldo trying to dig up dirt, only dirt n stupidity displayed in this game was from a Baily. Join ur friend AC as no class low lives, smearing a 17 year old who recently buried his father does this make u feel better?

Relax. Everyone. It is a huge accomplishment for Josh. And he deserves the recognition, great kid coulnd't happen to a better young man.
And nrawhjwhhatever. Would you not keep your first team in try to make it more respectable? Or do you let Mccort keep pouring it on late. Now they shoulda started trying to run the ball try to keep Josh off the field.
With that said, I do think some of the scores McCort has put up this year and some of the decisions made by the coaching staff were not typical McCort or Traditional McCort, and could be said to have been classless. And I would not necessarily agree with them.
Just a thought.

Congrats Josh. Couldn't have happened to a nicer kid and he should be left in to run it up against chatty Richland whenever he pleases...

I think it's great that SI would recognize one of our own (meaning D5 or D6). For a HS athlete to end up in this magazine, they must have been worthy. I can guarantee you there were many unbelievable performances that SI had to sift through before they made their decision. Maybe this explains why others have not been selected in the past. Remember, you're dealing with a national publication, not the local newspaper.
I'm not certain that this kid's father passing away had much to do with SI recognizing him, probably moreso the fact he ran wild on a then undefeated opponent. I'm not a fan of Bishop McCort, but I can at least recognize the accomplishment and be happy for the kid.

I do not think anyone actually hates mccort. Hates inspires people to do some really sick things that do not involve anonymously posting on a high school sports website. Everyone should be happy for Josh and our area as well as district 6. His award becomes much more significant because of the adversity that the team is overcoming. Sometimes everything else in life can fall on hard times, but trying to get that extra yard can be what keeps you going...

Some people on here need to calm down. No one was bashing Seidel so stop whining BM fans. Amused was just wondering why Seidel got the award when other players did similar things and didn't. Whoever said it though was right, the reason is SI must sift through many great performances every week and it could be anyone across the country. The 6 touchdowns compared to the other players 2-4 is the biggest difference. and who knows.. maybe someone rushed for 600 yards the week Reed went for 450..
