Half of Claysburg is in Bedford County (D5). Explain that one? I will be back with more examples.

Where is the school physically located?

Part of Windber is Cambria County.

The inability to beat Bishop McCort isn't a sufficient reason to be moved from District 6 to District 5.

What part of Windber is in Cambria County?

What about Clearfield County? Some schools are in District 9 and some in District 6?

Lewistown and IV are Mifflin County. Makes much more sense for them to go east to District 4.

What about Indiana County? Some schools in D6 but Indiana is in the WPIAL?

There is no consistent hard and fast rule that determines what district you participate in.

Fannet-Metal is in D5 but is in Franklin County. They make a better fit because of their size and closeness to Fulton County which is part of D5.

Tussey Mountain SD is partly in Huntingdon County. But they are D5.

Wouldn't Claysburg-Kimmel be a better fit in D5?

Somerset should be allowed back into D5 if they so choose as they have several sports that they compete in at the AA level.

I did not know that. Thanks for the correction. Care to comment on some of my other statements.

I did.

The inability to beat Bishop McCort is not justification for teams to change districts. I see no other reason to change other than to give you a better chance to win. It's not a good reason.

IMO Lewistown/IV could care less about BM one way or another.

The world doesn't revolve around what the Crushers do. They only moved down to A for this cycle.

The schools mentioned have wanted out of D6 for a long time.

What about Clearfield? Their school is in Clearfield county but they play in D9 not D6?

Why does Portage want to be out of District 6? Do they want to be out of Cambria County too? Why does it matter what district you are in?

Do Lewistown and Indian Valley play in a conference with other District 6 schools? Does Clearfield play in a conference with District 6 schools? Is all of Clearfield county in District 6?
