Seriously, all the leagues around hear are crap when you really look at it. The real football is AAAA where the real players are. Think about it could you imagine what North Penn, Avon Grove, Downingtown West, Neshiminy would say when they watched McCort and Bellwood duke it out. We have to seriously be nuts to think the LHAC is the real deal conference. When you guys rip the WestPAC, Heritage and ICC this is what they would say about the LHAC schools. Why because they are bigger they should be better. I am not sure but Altoona is not too good and I think they would knock the crap out of the McCorts and Bellwoods. This nonsense is ridiculous when you look at the big picture.

Just give the man some credit for doing what he has done. He has built a winning program with MUCH less talent than Bellwood & McCort, who will always be atop 6A. Everybody knows McCort recruits, just get over it. And everybody knows (or should know) that all the kids who can't play at Altoona either go BA or Tyrone. Stop being haters and give credit where credit is due.

I just don't understand the portage, township, and blacklick bashing on this site. i know some of their fans are way over the top and don't put things into perspective. but how can you take things away from their players and coaches. portage should be irrelevant for while, they lose everyone. so go find some other success story to criticize.

i believe i know the problem...portage has a tremendous season in the westpac..i believe they go into the playoffs against non-westpac teams and are entirely over confident because of their success in their league, when by far the competition in other leagues are tougher then most of the games that portage has to play...thats my opinion

i agree with playing a tougher schedule would make them better, but who or where can they play? also, i believe they lost to undefeated mccort last year and undefeated bellwood this year, which is nothing to be ashamed of. they beat some good teams before losing, maybe mccort and bellwood are just that good.

looking at their enrollment, along with other westpac schools, portage might become forest hills in the future.
