and when people speak of Zimmerman they say a great player makes his team and team mates great... well if Barefoot is so great, why isn't Ridge?
Seems to me the Ridge faithful are picking Barefoot because he's their friend not due to his basketball ability

Bison1, this seems to be a touchy subject for you. Zimmerman is good but Miller is way better than Zim.. Miller truly does make the players around him better.

I agree...that's why I was talking about Barefoot??
Miller is a very good point gaurd. I was talking about Barefoot compared to Harris. The majority of the people that picked Barefoot picked him because he has 1000+ pts.

In my opinion, 1 Harris, 2 Barefoot, 3 Miller, 4 Zimmerman.
bison 1: I guess the bisons should be at the top of the LHAC if Harris is the best and should make everyone around him better. Too much has been made of one great player making others better on the court. That does occur but not to the extent of what some of you think.
Remember: you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s##t no matter how good you are!

1. Harris
2. Miller (close second)
3. Barefoot
4. Zimmerman
Harris would be the best player on TMT or Ridge if he played there. That is how I look at it.... so that puts him above Barefoot and Zimmerman.

It would be beautiful to see two of those guys on the same team. Not one county team really has two "stars". Everett would come closest, maybe, with a couple of their players.
Bedford's Fox, younger Harris and SOMETIMES Marshall are solid as well.

With all of this debate going on, I'm anxious to see what transpires in the Ridge vs Tussey game this week. Ridge and Barefoot have a much better all-around supporting cast...Tussey has one other bona fide varsity player (Clapper) to go with Zimmerman and a player (Hinish) who is an outstanding defender but not an offensive threat at all. Tussey's other players are role players who play very tenaciously but lack Varsity level basketball skills IMO.
So, if Zimm and Tussey beat Ridge...it's pretty evident who the better player is...and that is my prediction, Tussey by 7...Barefoot held under 20 and Zimm with 25+ and about 8-10 assists.

Your making some big assumptions HR. First, I guess coaching won't play a factor, or the fact that the game is at Tussey, or the fact that it will be 7 on 5. Tussey supporting cast must be pretty lousy if they are worse than what Ridge puts on the floor. None of them can shoot (even Barefoot is a streak shooter) or pass well at all. So don't make the assumption that if TM wins Zimmerman is a better player than Barefoot!
Don't forget that the Tussey defense hounding Barefoot like coon dogs and not get on foul called on them!

Sounds like your already putting up the white flag there S'paw...I've seen both teams play and trust me...CR supporting cast is superior and much more balanced. They do have others who can score some points....All non Zimmerman points by Tussey are either Clapper or assist by Zimmerman. Maybe a fairer indication by your parameters will be the Titans trip to Dick Fishertown later in the season.

okay, first things first...alot of you people are saying these players ARE the team. No...there is no player that is just the team themselves. They have to have people pass to them, set them up, block for them. They might be the best player on the team...but no, they are not the team.
-Miller, a very accurate player. He can hit a basket with his eyes closed...haha...He is not a ball hawg and is an awesome all around player.
-Harris, Bedford's main team player. At least 20 points per game is what can be expected of this fine Bedford athlete. He dominates the court and is very hard to block.
-Barefoot, okay, yeah, he scored 1000+ points....point? That doesnt make him the team...the reason hes scored so many points is because his TEAMMATES set him up, passed him the ball and blocked for him. Without his TEAM, he would have never made it to 1000+. He is a very well rounded player, Im not saying he isnt. But he is NOT the team.
-Zimmerman...I cant say Ive seen him play...so no comment.
But in my mind between the 3 I have seen play...it would have to be Harris, Miller, Barefoot. You cant just go by points scored. You have to go by the defensive performance as well and how well they work with their team.
Remember...there is no 'I' in team*
