Manfred, Please continue to comment, as it makes for great conversation. Anybody that makes an assessment of High School Wrestling has my attention. Wrestling is the greatest sport on Earth and it's good to hear the opinions of fans and/or observers. You obviously know more than the average person about both Wrestling and the Forest Hills community, so that is a good thing. I would love to see a handful of FH Wrestlers qualify for Hershey this year. There are a couple who are right on the brink of that level and it would be great for them to take that next step.

Agreed, tho with 2 starters out last night, and Twp. on a roll, it took a wild last 3 bouts to pull off a win.

Yeah, exactly. I have to give Conemaugh Township credit. They came to wrestle Monday night. We are a little banged up, but no excuse will cover what happened in that match. Conemaugh Twp. has their best team they've had in a while and matched up really well with us. Our younger wrestlers need to learn not to give up those bonus points and the importance of every little point (for and against us) if we have any aspirations of a postseason run. I hope that is our wakeup call. It sure was nice to end the match with 4 seasoned wrestlers. We won't always have that luxury, so let's get to work. Great Job guys and Good luck at the always tough Southmoreland Tournament next Tuesday and Wednesday!!!!!

i know this isnt westpac or lhac, but there are 2 kids who stepped up for United and filled the 171 and 189 classes extremely well..171 pounder Matt Stewart, gave Kephart a very strong run till the 3rd period, kephart just could not work any of his throws or he found himself on the mat, Kephart finally pinned stewart in the 3rd period..Jordan Long, the 189 from United, took care of business in the Soutmoreland tournament but then fell short of win against suter..I never heard anything about these kids till this year so im assuming their either 1st year wrestlers or just never had a spot till now, but i look for them to place at districts and make a good run in regionals
