Bishop Carroll was in the state final a few years ago...you guys forgot that. As for the Division-1 schools not knowing about schools in this area, are you kidding me? I remember when I was in school there were BIG division 1 school coaches walking around the halls constantly. People know this area well....sorry if they dont go to Berlin or Portage lol but they are def. around

Budman I wasn't talking all western PA I said district 5 and 6.You guys can have your fantasy that div1 coaches all know the mighty McCort name if you want .I would say the wpial and harrisburg and philly schools are probably the most recruited and well known in PA.By the way budman aren't all kids who go to McCort recruited, there is no true boundaries to their district.Don't play the oh we are innocent card here my friend.Maybe the article where the arch diocese in pittsburgh was quoted as saying there is a recruiting problem could be dug out again.Of course I guess maybe you would call them a liar too!

oldguy,

I love how you take the fact, tell everyone that it is our own McCort biased opinion, and then try to correct us. You honestly are dumb...I just said...I SAW COACHES FROM ALL OVER THE EAST COAST WALKING OUR HALLS WHENEVER I WAS IN HIGHSCHOOL. Who is your team, just curious? Im guessing they havent beaten McCort in 20 years or you dont beat anyone

Come on fairweather whom did you see USC, UCLA,Penn State, Pitt.Let's here all these div1 coaches names and the colleges they were representing. The school I went to is in district 5 and doesn't even play McCort. This has nothing to do with that,if you think for one minute that a div1 coach could give a flying @#@$ about whether or not a kid went to a district 5 or 6 school you have reality issues.Wow if you are right I guess Brian Kelly will be visiting soon.

D-1 kids come from everywhere. Johnstown-Altoona and State College have produced a large number of NFL players. The number of D-1 kids that have come out of district 6 is huge. There are a lot of questionable posts on this site. The question relates to intelligence. There are more d-1 kids in Philly , Pitt and Harrisburg. Great point, there are more people there. Be proud of the teams and the heritage of your reigon.

I am proud, when Carroll went a few years back I was pulling for them 100 percent and we hated Carroll. As for the Colleges, Pitt, Penn State, All MAC schools, Maryland, Auburn, Virginia, Duke...you think I am lying? ask anyone who went there.

Not really talking about the quad AAAA kids here edsel more the LHAC and district5.The arguement goes back to the statement that div1 coaches all know the McCort name.I have the utmost respect for all the kids who advance to these schools and the pros.I am very aware of the jeff hostetlersetc from the area.

You are right sportsfan1000. I was referring to the WPIAL championship which was widely considered to be the state championship back in those days when western PA football RULED. And I did miss the Carroll team that made it to state final in the 90's-- oh, but they don't count do they....because they recruit, right?

Keep hoping for your neighbor to fail. It's the Johnstown area way.
