First of all, scoring points doesn't mean anything, even though you don't score any points in a game doesn't mean you're not a contributor to the team! Secondly, would everyone get rid of their "homer" pride and look elsewhere to some players that get the job done. And lastly, my team has played every area team there is, and chestnut ridge has NO stars, everett has a team consisting of overrated players that are good, but not as cracked up as everyone makes them out to be, and this is an extremely stupid topic to discuss because you should look at the 5 that play together and not just indiviual stars and their statistics!

and secondly everetts players do play well together and stick together theyve been together since like 3rd grade and they could really care less bout who scores the most points or who makes the big plays as long as they win the game. and i dont kno ridge's players that well but they play together too from what ive seen. and i was jw how do u get off pickin those two teams outta all the ones uve played???

Very well put rednwhite. Points are simply an overrated measure of a player. I say that partly because I never score, but anyone who has played basketball knows that splitting the D and making a nice dish gives you (for the most part) a better feeling than shooting the shot yourself, whether you sink it or not. :arrowu: That probably sounded gay, but I know what I'm talking about. I haven't scored probably since January to be honest, and haven't really gotten a whole lot of playing time, but I'll bag the whining and end the post here.

I agree with you both (rednwhite and kohlslaw) scoring doesn't mean EVERYTHING! That's basically what I said in my previous post. I feel that Bedford players are extremely overlooked, it seems all we ever talk about is someone from everett, ridge, or NBC. Monday's game (Everett @ Bedford) should be very competitive and exciting! Two teams that are similar in most aspects of the game even though the first game didn't indicate that. Both team's benches seem to be pretty solid, so that shouldn't make a difference either! SHOULD BE A GREAT GAME!

Hey 75, maybe you need to get some of your friends to brag you up like everyone else does their favorites. If Bedford's been slighted on this topic, those people need to start discussing the merits of certain players. In the past I've praised Marshall and Frear. Roy and Arnold also are good players. In fact, Bedford has a nice squad that seems to really stress team play.
Next year, when you play a LHAC schedule twice as tough as this year's, that team concept will come in handy.

I would have to say that the 9th graders from Everett. They are looking good this year and I agree they have been together since like 3rd grade but thats what makes a team good like they are playing together all the time is a big help.

After today's game I personally get the feeling that Everett has no team presence at all. If beegle and McCann(dont know how to spell em) get in foul trouble they have no one to look to. They aren't the only good players, but the "team" lost its flowing motion when those 2 had to sit. That is not a sign of a team to me. Is it to you??
