HS baseball around here is a warm up for summer ball for the kids. Your lucky to even practice on a field once before your first high school baseball game. HS baseball around here is terrible almost a joke. So I really don't think its about the coaching and more who has the most kids on traveling teams or who can get to ERA the most during the winter months. Like I said HS ball is warm up for Legion, Colt, and AAABA.

I apologize for starting a baseball debate on a football thread. I was just trying to get some answers or opnions on the recent "buzz" on Huskie Hill. A lot of press releases lately. Whats goin on?

My take on these four kids, and I wish them all the future success in the world, but...Roberts had some arm issues, Skoner ditto, Reighard let the pressures get to him- one game he throws a one hitter? then the next game or 2 gets shelled, and Kirby sometimes forgot where he was or what he was doing. Most kids are like these ones, at some time or another. That doesn't make them bad ballplayers. Makes them human, as opposed to super-human, like we expect our athletes to be.

I wonder if there will be another "press release" sent to the Trib this week. Huskies enter boys basketball D6A playoffs with 5 wins, that's right 5 wins. There are only 2 teams that entered the D6A playoffs with losing records, BC and.......you guessed it BG.

Where's all this "moral high road" stuff we've come to hear about?

What is everyone talking about? Your all just a bunch of haters. BC is really trying to improve their athletics. Yes, in the last 8 years they have been dominate and nothing less. These past 3 years though were their rebuilding years as you can tell from the numbers, so why are you critisizing them so much for hiring those needed to up their sports. They didn't have much talent the past years but now that they have a strong junior class, they will be very tough in all the sports, football, basketball, and baseball. I'm saying to look out for them next year and don't take them lightly cause they're looking to stomp everyone and they won't hold back.

They have every right to make themselves and are definately trying to do that. But why are they sending press releases to the Trib about signing coaches. Nobody does that. Explain the 10 year contract. Explain hiring assistant baseball coaches that will never coach a game. Why are they creating media hype???? Hmmmm.

High school baseball isn't terrible. Or at least it isn't any more terrible than any other high school sports. The weather sucks, but what else is new. The summer leagues are the real joke. Just recruit really good, and load up a few teams and then beat the piss out of everyone else. That is why so many kids quit before they even get to high school age.

No. Starting at age 5 by standing out in left field during a T-ball game is why they quit before high school.

what do you mean, they told me thats where all the good players were put 8)
