I don't have a problem with Alabama being number one because they will actually have to prove themselves. If they go 13-0, then there's no doubt they should play for the National Championship. I wouldn't have a problem with Ohio State being number one to start the season either. I just think it's almost impossible to not place an SEC school at number one to start the year. They have won the majority of the National Championships in recent history.

Did anyone else see/hear how poorly Alabama's defense looked this past weekend?

Would be nice to go down there and steal a win, but my fear is just THAT. We go down, somehow win that game, and Alabama ends up losing 2-3 more games and gets proven as "overrated" and "young".

If you walk into the defending national champions house and beat them there it doesn't matter what happens after that with Alabama. PSU will get the jump they need both in the polls and in regard to the Big10's perception in the nation.

If PSU wins that game they go 10-2 this year. If they lose, I have a feeling we could look at anywhere from 9-3 to 7-5

I think 8-4 is the absolute worst this team can go. The defense will keep them close in all the "iffy" games like Michigan State. They'll lose to Iowa, OSU, and Alabama.

Who is the QB? That's a big deal, I'd say. I mean Alabama's D may be down, but at the same time Penn State isn't going to put up huge offensive numbers. I like PSU's running backs, and the Line is in alright shape. I'm not sold on the passing game though.


PSU can score some points, but do you really feel good about stopping the Crimson Tide offensive machine. They can beat you soo many ways.
