Cooking the books? The best snooker job in the history of high school football. Pulling the wool over the eyes of District 6 and the PIAA and getting away with it. Brilliant.

Maybe we should stop for a minute and throw some credit at Penn Cambria. PC's two scoring drives were 70 and 95 yards. They played pretty well despite turning the ball over a bunch of times the first half. They were actually driving the ball on some of the major miscues. A holding call on a nice first down gain, during their opening drive, probably cost them another TD. The PC defense held up pretty well throughout. BM converted on two fourth downs to score their TD's. It could have been a two or three touchdown difference if PC can get a few fourth down stops.

And back to the tuition thing. We have been told by Jack Daniel that CM lived on his own and worked full time. Did he pay his own tuition or did he not???? Or did someone pay it for him? Like an alumni? Or a scholarship? Simple question. I mean, what happens to a McCort student if his family can no longer make the monthly tuition payments? No mercy there, right.

Look. Here's the situation. Jack Daniel comes on here and tells us that Merriman "graduated" without finishing school because of some bizarre rule that says if you live on your own and work full time you can still get your diploma. Great. Now, if he's working on his own, did he pay his own tuition? Or is something rotten in the state of Denmark by having someone else PAY it, or did he not pay at all? Inquiring minds want to know. If you know, then tell us. It's like Obama not showing his birth certificate. Just tell us the truth and get it over with. Pretty simple if you ask me.

So then he isn't on his own. Great. Then he fails to "qualify" for getting his diploma "without " finishing his senior year. That's even worse. McCort gave a kid his diploma under false pretenses. Isn't that cheating?

I have got to agree with a great deal of what Moldo and OG have been saying here. Lately, I have not been the most proud of whats been happening. I am not going to even try to counter anything that moldo or OG said, because like most of you folks from McCort or elsewhere I don't know the facts. But, I will say that strange looking and sounding things seem to be happening. This state law business about giving a diploma to a young man who got thrown out of school, but still supports himself, seems a little strange to me. Is this a new law enacted after that kid from Tyrone played till he was 21 or whatever?

And Vman, the none of anyone's business thing is on the weak side. SO many folks have questions about these sorts of things, it makes the lack of supporting evidence look like an admission of guilt. Now, I haven't had a close connection to McCort football for over 4 years now, so I am out of the loop, but these frequent questions have a great deal of merit to them and should be addressed. At least I think. Just saying its no one's business just won't cut it any longer.

Now as far as the McCort down years or what not, again I would agree. Everything in life is cyclical. What I do know is that McCort has the finest or the second finest coaching staff in the area, FH being the other. I also know that they will steadily improve during the season. I won't be around to make any games so I wish the team well, and I hope every young man, from each team, has fun and stays healthy this season.

TO keep this all in context, I am not a Benedict Arnold or anything, I just, like many folks, have a great number of questions. What does makes me different is that I am not from a rival school but rather a concerned on looking alumni.I did have a great deal of pride in the statement Fetzer made, “It is sometimes hard to overcome when you have the McCort jersey (on the other side) and all that tradition. You’re beating more than just that team.” Almost brought a tear to my eye if I were a crier.

God Bless,

MTP

And GOD bless you, too, sir, for having the courage to take off the rose-colored glasses and smell the real coffee. BTW- you just moved onto the "sheriff's top 10 wanted DOA list".
