Hasn't anyone been paying attention? The Mayan calendar and the movie say the world will end in 2012! Repent! Repent! The END is NEAR!

Good points Psycho. Your absolutely right, and the pieces are in place, could see a couple D6 Titles in a row here. And some nice runs into states.

The AAU does help these kids. The Fleegle and Gibbons kids from D5 are both legitimate players, and play AAU. The Johnstown 5 all play AAU, and the Freshmen class of Trexler, Hipp, and Flick from Richland all compete and get 50-60 games a summer. The team with the 3 freshmen play out of Greensburg with kids from down that way. They've fared very well, and I expect them to do the same this summer. But with AAU you get to play competition from outside the realm of our area. Heck younger groups are doing it right. Richland,McCort, and Guilfoyle all have a travel/AAU 8th and 7th grade teams, I'm sure there might be more. But these schools know that playing outside of the area helps you down the line. Now I wasn't always a true believe in the AAU program, My team won districts in 08 and nobody on our team played AAU. It isn't necessary to play AAU. But summer shootouts, and just playing a lot of Basketball can make you a good team. But Psycho is right, it does help. You can pick the kids out. I don't think the fact that it is AAU is what makes these kids better, The Fact that they are playing all summer long outside the area is what is making them better.
