He said Bradley to UConn.

says....

"Pitt doesn't operate that way, I don't believe they will hire Tommy"

I heard Bradley wants too much money for his assistants, that is the sticking point. Something like $500,000 for his OC and DC. BaBoom!!! Uconn has a TON of money at their university.

Bradley ain't out of the picture by any measure, but certainly is the main reason why he wasn't hired already.
They will continue to talk to him, and try to work something out. There are plenty more people in Bradley's corner then any of the other candidates.

Terryl Austin may get the Head gig instead of the DC position. Drawing a Mike Tomlin comparison. Little unknown but good experience in a bunch of places, and Austin is apparently some great interview.

Don't count out Todd Graham, the Tulsa coach. He is off and on with coming to Pitt. I think he would be an OK hire.

Sal Sunseri is another guy. Alabama Linebacher coach. He's been around Alabama, Carolina Panthers,Michigan State,LSU, Louisville and at his alma mater. The thing with Sal is, although he's a "Pitt guy", He wouldn't be a legit candidate outside the fact that he is a Pitt guy.

And last but not least, Wisconsin Offensive Coordinator, Paul Chryst. I like this guy. fairly young. Would be able to recruit Big Ten country, and the only thing I would want him to recruit are those behemoth offensive linemen. I mean if Pitt had the Wisconsin Line this year......dang. All I know is Pitt wouldn't have lost 5 games with those giants paving the way for Dion and Graham. He would keep the same general concepts on offense.

My question is...How many more "Everything is Pointing to [Insert Name here]" posts are we going to see from Crimson before he nails it and names Pitt's coach?

I havent looked this up, but I am pretty sure most if not all of the WI linemen are WI kids. Are they going to want to go to Pitt? What I am getting at, is this Are Texas kids really going to want to go to TCU to play against UCONN and USF? Kids typically stay local, and Texas kids want to play against other Big XII schools. Does 5-star TX QB Johnny want to leave the Big XII area to compete against Rutgers?

Hey Kirk......

If you look at the first post in this thread I state everything is pointing to Tommy Bradley, then I say He likely won't be the coach. I don't think Bradley is the guy.

TAE, you make a strong point and exactly what I was thinking about the Pitt to Big Ten rumors in terms of our Basketball program. I thought our Basketball program would take a hit because why would NYC,Philly, Baltimore kids want to play for Pitt and go up against Minnesota and Wisconsin on a nightly basis? It makes as much sense as a Texas QB playing in Rutgers. Thats the reason why PSU Basketball sucks. They aren't so far from the most fertile recruiting area in Basketball, but since they are stuck playing in Northwestern, instead of Georgetown and Villanova. Thats why Penn State can't recruit, they might as well start paying players.

I'm really not making this stuff up guys haha I get all this crap for these turd websites....

Pittscriptblog.com
Pittblather.com
Paul Zeise's redshirt diaries on the Post Gazette
Cardiachill.com

But the new candidate is Stanford Offensive Coordinator, Greg Roman. My feelings are he may get the head Stanford gig, and Andrew Luck and Palo Alto may be more attractive then Tino Sunseri and Oakland.

The other name out there that I think sucks is, Mario Cristobal. The FIU coach. Ummmm please no.

Paul Chryst is off the list now.

Dion Lewis is going to the NFL btw. Projected 3-4th round pick.

Cristobal is a great coach, and will definitely get a BCS gig. There are FIVE other D1 programs in Florida, 3 massive heavyweights w/ insane heritage, and he is still building something special at FIU. I like that guy a lot.

PSU basketball sucks b/c the university doesn't take it seriously. If they would fire that jack*** and put some money behindthe program, they could be good. They dont care enough.
