If you are thinking Vescovi got his numbers this year against opposing JV teams that is very incorrect. 8 of 10 games came down to the final quarter. (johnstown and forest hills were blowouts). Also take into consideration that every player on the field as well as every coach in the league knew they were going to throw EVERY play. I went to 3 games this year of Vescovi and 2 of Simon. The 3 games I went to see Vescovi the secondaries were backed up way off the ball and on snap the backers dropped immediately. That is difficult on its own, along with knowing Brawley is getting the ball the majority of the time too. Now, I saw Simon against Forest Hills and when it came down to the end they gave him the ball at least 4 plays in a row to seal the deal. Simon, himself made it easier to throw by keeping a backer or two by the line just in case. . Its hard to say Vescovi can't run a little bit too, I know his line couldn't help and the play calls were not meant for Vescovi to hold the ball but to throw quick. I am not completely sold on who I would take for my team, but I lean toward Vescovi for his arm at the Quarterback position. But hey they are both headaches for the other teams defenses. The thought process to play against heights is..Stop Vescovi and Brawley its a blowout...

No offense but I can never remember heights being competitive at all. Not meant to be a shot its just the truth. In light of the fact that they have not been competitive I wouldn't want a qb who isn't experienced with winning. And secondly all these games that came down to the 4th quarter must have all been L's with a 1-9 record. I don't think all four years of my HS or older family members HS experience clean up until now I never remember hts winning or being playoff contenders. So I'm thinking Vescovi's impact might not be as good as your trying to make it seem it was.lol. I'm guessing he is still a good HS qb but I'd still rather have a qb that can move and run if possible. But does anyone have film on the kid?? Basically like film he is going to send to colleges.... Now a days kids post their film on scouting sites and youtube.. I realize that without seeing him play even though I like Simon I can't say that Vescovi wouldn't be a better qb at jtown. So if anyone knows where I can watch his highlights or gamefilm please let me know.

The way I look at it I would take Vescovi as a college qb before I would take Simon. However if I were coaching in high school I would go with Simon all day. Look at the offences run in high school and what type of a player Simon is and thats why I would choose him. As for Vescovi, he is a good qb. He will more that likely play at a D2. Don't take anything away from him because he didn't win, his defence let up all the points. His offence scored and did thier part.

The all-area team, in my eyes, is completely wrong. If you simply play a down of varsity football, your name will end up on at least the honorable mention list.
