Sorry Crimson but Straisser doesn't impress me much on the hardwood. He is athletic, but an athletic 6'6" kid should absolutely dominate the Westpac and I didn't see that out of him this year. I know he is young so that may have something to do with it but from this year I would take Fleegle over him. I wouldn't even have Straisser as the top five in the county. For me (based on this year alone) it would be Gibbons, Fleegle, Will, Vogt, & Fyock.

Like I said I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but he did nothing at all this game.

my buddy sitting next to me who didn't know much about North Star turned to me and said while Fleegle was dribbling "Man this kid has to be the weak link on the team" And I told him he was supposed to be the best player in District 5. He couldn't even believe it. I mean that had to have been the worst game of his career, because he didn't look very good at all. But he will have a whale of a time trying to handle the ball on Wednesday if Solarcyzk gave him problems.

You forgot about speigle and boyer from township and glessner from berlin. Miller and beiler were every bit the player vogt was from salisbury. Miller scored alot of points and shut gibbons down to 14 points when they played. Fleegle in two games against township was unbelievable. The kid played aau for years and completely got way better than what he was. He must have had a terrible game because when they played shade I saw him score on gibbons in the first half so easy, but then in the 2nd half I did see a little hart kid shut him down to 2 points in the 2nd half. Maybe when fleegle gets a small, quick guy on him man to man he can't handle the pressure because he is the best ball handler by far for n.s. The coach from n.s. should have posted the 6-5 fleegle under the basket with this short hart and solarcyz kids, and then he would have scored. Loya should know this and see a 5-10 kid is on a talented 6-5 kid and post him up down low! Fleegle blew by gibbons out front when he was on him and shot over him, but hart did shut fleegle down in the 2nd with some help from his team when fleegle would drive. Loya should have also tried to set some picks for him up front to get the quick small pesky kids off of him!

Since everyone was ripping Fleegle on here for the way he played in Sat game, I decided to call the Fleegle's to see if something was wrong with him. Fleegle was sick during Saturdays game. He was having trouble breathing do to a head cold and tighness in his chest. He was taken to MEd Well and given Medication right after the game. Hope he's feeling better for Wed game.

Crimson, when did you say Fleegle was sick? And I'm just wondering if you happen to remember who dominated McCourt in the Mountain Cat Tip Off Tourney, sorry if I'm mistaken but i believe he dropped over 20 on you guys then.

If you look at the first page on this thread, very last post, I did say he must've been sick, but then I hit edit instead of quote, and screwed up the whole thing. But I said I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.


December Basketball is far different from March, if you follow Hoops of any level, you'd know that.

But when I say I see 2 players better than him on his team, somehow that gets turned around to make it seem like I said he sucks. Never said that, but the game I most recently watched of his...Straiser and Walker were BY FAR the best players on the court for North Star. Fleegle had 4 points against an average Richland team. Thats what I saw. What do you want me to say? He played awesome and I came away impressed as all hell with the kid? Well I didn't. Sorry. If you want to defend his game play from that game, by all means....People are saying he's sick. Than that must have been it. I said I'd give him benefit of the doubt.

I do follow hoops, year round. I don't understand what you mean by if i followed basketball i'd understand that though. NS played McCourt in December, yes, but was it a NS team from March you were playing? Because that's what it sounds like. Yes i do understand that he was sick, i can attest to that; and i agree that Walker and Straisser had better games than he did, but the way you made it sound it was as though Fleegle is a joke. One game does not a player make. He has definitely been NS's strongest player this season and has carried them through multiple games this year. Don't judge players on one off game, it only shows how much you really understand about the sport.

McCort, no U. No but the quality of Basketball is far different than what you seem in March. 99% of teams get better from the third game of the season, would you not agree?

Well if you go into a Basketball game. You hear that a player is supposed to be averaging 25, best player in the county, Wouldn't you be up for a let down if you showed up and he wasn't nearly as advertised.


I'm sure he's good, but I'm going off what I got from that game. And I said I'll take other people's word for it that he's better than what he showed. No need to argue. If he's good, than he'll make something happen tomorrow.
