I'm giving up debating Catholic/Public for the rest of lent.

What is the Lent story? For example, if you give up potato chips for lent, can you still eat them on Sundays or on St. Patrick's Day? Maybe we can hear from Crimson09Crazy on those days.

Well tonight's game may very well been all about coaching. At least the chants of put back the starters filled the air from the Ligonier faithful. I never did understand his rotation against Seton La Salle. After watching the game Ligonier certainly had the talent to win tonight. However some bad decisions with passing and not paying attention resulted in too many steals by La Salle.

Over all I saw a poor game plan with a rotation I did not understand. I think Ligonier has a stronger group of girls that what was on the floor tonight. Certainly their fundamentals had to be better than tonight since they got this far. I saw a great defensive effort by La Salle against one of the better players on the floor tonight. Though she has nothing to sorry about she played hard.

It was all about ball control and fundamentals and not anything to do with who had the more skilled players. I would dare to say change coaches tonight and the other team might have won.

Please look at the last ten years in girls AA ball.All private champs.ALL PRIVATE! This is the exact reason there is a problem in the PIAA.You can not compete with these teams on a regular basis.They have an allstar team and you don't!

Making excuses for publics oldguy???? Might I remind you that the AA Westmont girls had one of the best teams in the state in any classification in 2006 (probably top 3 or 4) but blew a huge lead to lose the PIAA championship. This inability to play with a lead was not because the Catholic school they were playing recruited. Had NOTHING to do with that. Westmont had huge talent, much more than the Catholic school they played.

So don't go crying about recruiting because it's not always true.

What I think we should do is have a public tournament where you can give public schools a trophy, then have a competitive tournament where publics who refuse to make excuses and Catholics and Charters can compete for the "Competitive State Championship". The public motto " achieve the most with doing the least" can be the theme of the public tournament. The only saving grace is that in 3-4 years there will be about 30% less public schools.

Please psycho there are exceptions to everything!Yes once in a while a public can compete.They get the right group of kids and the stars align and they can compete.That is the current state in the small school classes in the PIAA.Please don't lump this into the everybody wants a trophy scenario again.We are talking state titles here.The system is flawed!Classes are meant to keep the field level ,not to allow some to breach the rules and play down to give them a better chance to win a title.So please don't try and muddy the waters,almost everyone on here knows the problem!
