Cmon, jack. Feeling guilty? I said "free agent" in jest. Never said a word in my last post about the "R" word. Besides, the consensus of readers on this site seem to know the unspoken truth.

Was Forcellini a state HWT wrestling champion??? So here's the scoop on why Bailey JR ain't gonna run Rizzo 20+ times a game, whether he plays defense or not. There are 48 minutes in a high school football game. Speaking in generalities, let's say EACH team in a game gets the ball on offense for 24 minutes. Most running plays eat up about 30 seconds of playing time, especially when you are running up the gut and not getting out of bounds to stop the clock. So if Rizzo runs the ball 24 times, that's TWELVE MINUTES of game time coming off the clock. That means, there are ONLY 12 minutes for other stuff. There's NO WAY Bailey is going to settle for ONLY twelve minutes of passing and other play calling. Next question.

This should be an interesting year in the LHAC to say the least.

Johnstown is undoubtedly the favorite to run the table this year. They return incredible talent and have the experience to roll to a perfect record thru district 6.

After that...it is pretty open. Forest Hills has quality players, but they have some major concern at middle linebacker and line. This causes some uneasiness for G&G fans as the Rangers welcome Richland week one...the OG sure hopes the Younger Bailey keeps the ball in the air.

Bishop McCort got better all year last year and will be bolstered by a very solid sophomore class.

PC was young last year and will welcome back junior Mack Behee from a season ending injury that experienced in the first scrimmage last year.

Richland of course returns Rizzo...but is throwing the ball really a bad thing when you have a talent like Kyle Flick on the outside. Richland could make their season and believers with a week one win over Forest Hills.

After that...

This is the year Westmont has been waiting for...we'll see how that works out.

Bedford will be improved in year two under Kevin Steele.

Hope Ebensburg fans enjoy the basement.

BG will likely show improvement .

Somerset will be horrible.

Heights will be worse than ever after making stride the last couple years.

To borrow from Bart Scott..."Can't Wait"

The teams to watch this year are deff mccort and PC because both were young teams last year and i feel will develop into contenders this year. Opinionguy had some great points because there is no way anyone in the LHAC can compete with jtowns size or speed they should go 10-0 unless they drop the ball like last year when they played CC. FH is FH enough said. They will find ways to win and will be a 9-1 or 8-2 team. Richland will be the wildcard this year because they are either gonna be a powerhouse or a joke like they have been for the past couple of years. It all comes down to Bailey Jr and his play calling. If rizzo carries the ball 20 plus times watch out.....

Wizard97- I wouldn't call Richland a joke. Two years ago they finished the regular season at 8-2, losing to state runner up McCort and district champ Forest Hills and beating 6 AAA champ Johnstown at Johnstown. They then won their 1st round playoff game and lost to FH in the semis. Last year they dropped 4 of their 1st 5 games to district champs FH,BC,J-town and district runner up Mccort. They lost by 7 to BC (a game they could have tied at the end if it wasn't for Bailey) and to Mccort by 2. They then ran the table to finish 6-4 and just missed out on the playoffs by 10 pts. They even beat CC, who beat Johnstown, in the final game knocking CC down to the 8th seed.

Coachcarter the reason i referred to richland being a joke the last couple of years is because everyone around brags them up before the season and then they choked during the season. You also happened to leave out the 08 season were they went 5-6 and lost to FH twice and in the first round of the playoffs. So in the past 3 years they have lost to FH 5 times and Back to Back years they were knocked out of the playoffs by FH. I however tho believe Richland will have a good year and possible knock off FH the first game of the year at Sidman! As long as Bailey Jr doesn't blow the game. Richland has the better O-line and the game is won in the trenches, it will be a fun game to watch!

Despite having Rizzo, and don't over look Rozich in that backfield either that kid can fly, Bailey will still insist on throwing the ball 20 times a game and therefor Richland will struggle to go 6-4.

Why would they play Rozich in the backfield when he played receiver last year? If i recall correctly he was also a good punt and kick off returner as well

He excelled in the return game last year, and well my Richland sources are telling me he'll be complimenting Rizzo in the backfield.
