WOW! portage is terrible, they really are, there dynasty is over for good. They lost to Valley who is turning around there program and finished with a good ending. Portage is the next ferndale, im calling it now.

I think overconfidence in this one. Portage had no right losing to CV but I think the Mustangs might of had round one of the District 6A playoffs on their minds. Great win for the Jays!

2) The school received SEVERAL complaints about senior day activities (teachers, administrators have no say in this district...it's the low life, welfare sucking, idiots that run this school).

What I gather is...CV didn't want their senior day to be "ruined."
BOTH coaching staffs WANTED the game to be played yesterday.

Communication between schools and D6 was poor.

As an old timer, I was upset to hear the game was cancelled. I think that would have been a nice memory for those kids.
I guess CV's Senior Day was more important than the playoff picture. I do feel bad for Portage- IF they win they have really have two less days to prepare. I feel bad for Saltsburg. They have to hold their breath for two days (at least they can travel up and watch the game). I feel bad for CV and P players. Like I always yell at the refs, "just let the kids play."

I guess everyone is giving a black eye to CV on this one...

Rubbish. Had Saturday been a school day it would have been cancelled due to the weather. Portage should have never even gotten on their bus. It shows how out of line we are in this area when it comes to sports that they boarded the bus and travelled.

You feel bad for Portage? They were 4-4 and had no business thinking about the playoffs. They should have been getting ready for basketball season. 4-5, 5-4 and 6-3 teams do not belong in the playoffs.

haha portage had it coming. Everybody hates Portage because they have been beating the rest of the weak pac teams like a drum the past five yrs and having a down season was bound to happen so dont rip on gouse, remeber, he wooped up on teams in the conference for the past 5 years, had to happen sometime. In my mind, portage and valley still arent even comparable

If you want to talk about the "Portage Dynasty" the last bit of it walked off of thier home field last year with thier heads held high after making it further than anyone gave them credit for and giving McCort one hell of a game. This year was bound to come sometime. I mean you cant make it to the district semis every year.

From what I understand it is going to be over for a couple years. The 7-8 grade team is alright but not a powerhouse.
