How many years can the football program continue at Chestnut Ridge without being in a conference? Maybe southpaw or CRBL has a few answers but to me it seems like they are really starting to have to scramble to put a full schedule together (as it seems they are yet to do so for even next year). I can't even imagine what the gate will be as compared to what it was when they were playing ICC or LHAC schedules.

What is the most logical avenue to pursue to join or even create a conference? I heard rumors a few years ago that a few Fulton county schools may begin to have a co-op football team. Would that help Ridge in weezling their way into a conference?

There is more to this than just grabbing a conference and sticking to it as well for those that implied that Ridge chose to jump around conferences. Remember schools boards and school districts have budgets to meet and being in an all sports conference where 60+ min bus rides are the norm would be very straining on a schools budget. People sometimes tend to forget that money needs set aside for education first and then find athletic budgets that will fit following. I'm not saying that Ridge may not have had a poor decision or two to this point on conference loyalty or how they conducted themselves in the conference they were representing but there is more to it than that.

Have to totally disagree with you about this. We're talking about hard working student athletes who had no part in past director's decisions. The right attitude is to stop looking back at the past and do the best thing for now and the future. Right is right, wrong is wrong. Always take the high road.

Everyone is out to get Ridge Booohoooo whoa is me! Your in the ICC your in the LHC then back in the ICC, then you get into the MAC well we dont like travel and that would hurt us at the gate so were out. I think its funny everyone is talking about everyone from Ridge wanting in the Laurel Highlands, however, that isnt what you really want. You guys want Williamsburg to fold and then you can get into the ICC. Your dream schedule would be Williamsburg, Turkeyfoot, Rockwood, Hyndman, and then go onto the PIAA website and pick out the smallest single A schools in the state then have a dream season.

Well if Williamsburg and Bishop Carroll quit football, ridge will have a decision to make. If they go to the ICC, then folks like palerider will get carpel tunnel from making fun of them. If they go to the laurel highlands, then there will probably parents on this board crying the blues as to why they can't beat up on local schools 1/3 their size. I hope a bid from the LHAC opens up and they take it. There's a different AD and Head Coach from when they left, so i hope they go that route.

When would BC and Williamsburg have to make a decision? It can't be much longer?

The powers that be need to pursue the old ways of doing things. Bring back the BCL play the local teams and see the gate go through the roof! Everett,CR,tussey, nbc, bedford all need to get a local conference going again.Throw windber, possible shade and north star and berlin in there too. At some point I hope common sense takes over and the dollars and cents of travel and gate are once again considered.
