sppawfan wrote:Thanks brigade on the great info! I think c.t. is the team to beat with there great team play and any kid can score as the high scorer for them! That is why they win! Look out for windber though with the pippon kid leading them lately!
c.t. played windber 2 weeks ago and held pippon to 5 points in a 73-24 win, although this next game will be played at windber, i was glad they lost a few games early on so they realized that they had to play every game and not take anything for granted, this year they have something that they havent had for years and that is a deep bench. the windber game i refered to had all the starters out in the 3rd and they held windber to 0 points the entire quarter. c.t. will lose 5 seniors this year but will still be just as strong next year with burns, sotosky, boyer, callihan, austin speigle and jeff fisher. shade and c.t. are my picks for next years westpac title game.

Yah, I agree! Windber has been playing better and I think won there last 5. Boyer, fyock and wade walker are studs for juniors. Spiegle will hurt losing him. He is a stud also. Zambanini came around also and will hurt. Shade will have to find a 5th and 6th man and I don't know who it could be. They have spangler and kiser, but not getting much time. They don't have any stud 9th graders coming up either. They do have mains, muha as big guys and aaron fyock, ryans cousin coming up. I don't know if they are good enough to beat out kiser and spangler though!

Shade will not lose in District 5 when they are at full strength!! Every one of their losses has come either because of injury or sickness. You heard it here first, Shade will win 2 state playoff games in 2012!!

Don't underestimate shanskville either being that they beat shade twice already either! And you are right, hendershot always has shades number when they play them. He slows the game down and takes 1-2 minutes before they shoot and wears shades defenders down and lulls them to sleep and gets an easy layup, while tiring shade out for there offense when they shoot. Shade should have played them a zone and left those guys out there, but they stayed in a man and got beat! In a zone, at least shade would give up 1 shot from the outside and then they wouldn't be so tired the rest of the game!Jmo

I wouldnt be so sure about that, have you seen sf play? And shade will have to first get by Shanksville. If Sf plays to their potential they will be District 5 winners again. :)

You aren't telling me anything about hendershot and the southern fulton hoops team. I didn't see them play this year, but shanksville almost beat them at shanksville this year I saw. I know they are great in hoops every year. I saw s.f. in the districts alot of years and I remember 1 year at shade they were the 8th ranked team and shade was #1 and s.f. was up at the half by like 18. They ended up losing a close one, but shade had one heck of a team with 3 1000 point scorers, kudasik, smith, and gibbons as the 5,6,and 7th man. That was a great team and they won some playoff games before losing to serra catholic and hendershot and s.f. as an 8th seed came to shade and almost knocked them off. Does s.f. still have the harper boy and that one guard that was quick and hit the threes back from last year? Those two were tough!

Harper graduated but they have several very good shooters from 3 point land ~ very well coached as always by Coach Hendershot who is one of the best coaches around. I think it will be a very good game between both Shade & Southern Fulton if they meet in the District 5 championship at UPJ.

who was injured when they played c.t. from what i saw everyone played and played well, they just were outplayed. and being you have one post i am sure you are a current player. either way, shade will have their hands full with sf but good luck to them and all other westpac teams that will be heading into A and AA playoffs

If shade gets by shanksville to get a shot at s.f. I think shade better worry about taking the districts 1 game at a time before they even talk s.f. or other playoff games. When you start looking ahead, that is when you lose game at hand! And shade already dropped two to the vikings. If shade wins there opening round game vs like a hyndman now,(it could change) they will then play the vikings (if they win) and then s.f. (if they win).
