The 9 team "AA" format has not yet been determined and may not be until the summer workshops. As we all know, things could change by then...a very important PIAA State Board meeting is coming up during the basketball finals.
If I'm not mistaken 5 and 8 will also subregionalize in AA soccer, AA Football and possibly AA Cross Country.

So Westinghouse will be AA in all sports and will be in District 5 in all sports? Why isnt Westinghouse joining the WPIAL instead? Would that not make more logical sense?

No, Westinghouse AA in Boys Basketball and Football ONLY. AAA in Girls BB. One other D8 school is AA in football also, I believe but not sure who.
