Well said HR...Looking at the standins as of now, could you imagine after A HUGE BATTLE AT TM ON FEB 13th..... TM and EVE could turn around and play the first round of districts. What a first round match-up this would be....

Hey Sneakers, I like your stand on Bedford, and HR, great point about that dominant program. I agree, Bedford made their bed and now must pay the dues. Lets root for Everett and Tussey to finish where they are now. They would sale out in less than an hour!!

:?: you would bet your house NS couldnt hanf with mccort :?:
TWP beat mccort, Windber beat mccort
North star is far better than windber
North star went to the wire with twp.. WITHOUT their star player...... meaning NS is a the better team again by the looks of it
a house .... i might wanna take that bet
i could use a place to party

All of those games were when Gates was still with the team. This team is playing some of the best basketball in the area right now. If they are hitting shots they are almost unbeatable with 2 kids around 6'5'' inside.

the 2 guys near 6'5 in the post :
pete oconner would have been playing for NS and he probably would be starting for them this year, but he would have had to really step up to earn that spot, and would probably see some in and out time..... at NS he was always a guard too, so the conversion to big man might not have been as drastic... there are big guards out there... shubik is a good 6'4
and north star could probably shut him down, we can match up on him.. 6'2-3 mignogna is a good match for occonner, and would make him earn any pts. he would get!
and jose cruz ...
i've played with him many times and he is a fantastic athlete and basketball player
he will take over any playground game,
however in real games he plays SOFT... he would be unstoppable with his height, strength, and ability to jump down low... but he plays more like a SF, and a swing man who would rather pull up from 15-18 ft.(which he can hit, he has a very nice shot) or swing the ball rather than to post up smaller, weaker kids
He could be one of the best big men this area has seen in the past how ever many years...IF he played like a BIG MAN.. but he doesnt
I DEF. agree the loss of gates is DEF in the teams favor tho

Nice post Basketball101...I totally agree with you....I've played with Jose in pick-up games also and he is unstoppable but as you said in real games its almost as if he doesn't try.....He would dominate down low if he would just do that and post up instead of settling for mid range jumpers
