Top 10 football players to ever come out of the Pittsburgh area, now that would be one heck of a list.

Rob Woodson anyone or Mel Blount? Or how about Mike Webster or D Dawson?

How about Frenchy Fuqua? If it wasn't for him, no Immaculate Reception!!

If I mention the name Mel Blount around my old man, He will go on and on and on about him for 20 minutes minimum. I think he's a worthy candidate.

Bill Fralic needs to be on that list as well.

Billy Conn needs on the list too. Middleweight champ and had Joe Louis beat bad until he decided to try to knock Louis out late in the fight and got decked. They fought again after WW II and Louis KO'd him. In the first fight Louis was in his prime.
Mel Blount IMO was the best player ever on the Steelers and one of the best all time. The best d-back ever to play the game. He was a true shut down corner.

Not disagreeing on Blount being a great shutdown corner, but tough for me to call anyone other than Joe Greene the greatest Steeler ever. And what about Kurt Angle? The guy won two Olympic golds with, as he always like to fondly put it, a broke freakin' neck.

Have to think D.ick Groat has to get some consideration. Played in MLB and NBA. Is in College Basketball and college baseball Hall of Fame.

Forgot about Groat playing basketball.
The reason I put Blount above Greene is that the NFL changed the rules because of Blount.
