Twice in over 30. However. The fans, teams, coaches, and schools hate each other. That is why it is a great rivalry. Camp starts tomorrow, and yet I already can't wait for McCort vs Richland.

Sportsfan 1000, nice plug on the Easton-Phillipsburg rivalry. Several times in recent years, Easton plays Thursday and Saturday of the same week (Phillipsburg on Thanksgiving, PIAA playoff game on Saturday). Easton has usually fared well in the playoff game despite playing its biggest rival two days earlier. The NJ playoffs are set up differently, so Phillipsburg has the weekend off and doesn't play until the following Friday/Saturday if it is in the postseason.
As a Phillipsburg alum, it pains me to talk positively about Easton sports, but their kids deserve all the credit in the world for playing two highly-pressurized games in a span of 72 hours.

Didnt those two schools play to a tie sometime in the late 90s and last year they decided to play that game again? How friggin cool is that?!?!

Yes, they had a 7-7 tie in 1993. Had several players back for what was labeled a Gatorade Replay game. For the record, Phillipsburg won 27-12. The annual game has also been on ESPN live on two occasions. In 1988, Phillipsburg won. In 2006, Easton won in what was the 100th game between them.
