I don't see Eich going anywhere. Kline's time is winding down with his son Isaac a sophomore at Bedford. Jamie would be the obvious choice to take over when Kline steps down. He is from Everett and he already has a teaching job there.

During the first game I watched pitcher Eric Grace throw an obvious no hitter, but somehow in the paper the next day Skilles had given Ridge 3 hits. Obviously the man has no idea what he is doing guess he was embarassed to get no hit in a high school game. I have been around ridge players and parents all summer and they couldnt be happier that they are getting a new coach. Good luck to ridge.
And in another game last year he called for bunt after bunt late in the game in an Everett romp over CR to break up a no-hitter on Droz.......99% of people from CR was ashamed to have him as a coach.

RidgeDad, who are you hearing will step in? Who would you like to see? Is a guy like Berg ready for a head job? Will Ridge ever improve their field so that it's not the worst high school field in the state?

I'm not going to speculate on who because it would be just that. I think the world of Kelbi and think he is excellent with the kids. Whether he's ready for the head job or not isn't for me to say. I have also heard some names of really good baseball guys interested, but why it took this long into the school year to open up the jobs baffles me. I feel it would have been better to do this immediately after the season (or preferably years ago).
As for the field, well, it is just pathetic. Maybe a new coach will actually care and do this job for more reasons than a pay check, and will work closely with parents to organize a booster club to help improve the field. One could hope the school would actually do something, and maybe a new coach would apply some pressure to get some improvements, but tennis courts are expensive to build and maintain for the handful of kids that actually play.

Charlie Tweeder............your comments are unwarranted and 100% not true! Perhaps you hope to see a coaching turn over at Everett with Coach Kline and Coach Eichelberger both gone from the program! However, neither have had any conversations about giving up coaching or moving on to another program! Also, I am 100% positive Coach Eichelberger never inquired about the Ridge position, nor was he ever told by anyone within the Everett Administration that he would not be the next head coach in the event that Coach Kline steps aside! Besides, if Kline ever is to step aside, Eichelberger will be one of the first to know, and together with AD Brian Koontz they will make sure the program is left in capable hands.
Best of Luck to Chestnut Ridge in finding their next head baseball coach! There are a lot of good baseball guys in the area as well as from Ridge! Hopefully for the ball players and the Ridge program, they find the right guy for the job.

BallCoach... I am just saying what I have heard.. I could care less about the baseball program at Ridge and Everett. I have been told that this is Coach Kline's last year, and I mean why wouldnt it be with some of his best players graduating and plus his son will be a sophmore a Bedford. Now I have heard a few names Eichelberger is on the short list with Smith, Kelbi Berg and another teacher at Ridge. Once again just saying its what I heard, unless you know Mr. Eichelberger personally or are him how would you speculate or where do you get your information. If that 22 means anything after your name I bet I know who you are but again thats speculation, and I wouldnt want to do that!

I am glad you could care less about the baseball programs at Ridge or Everett. You can take my name off of the short list. And yes, this is Jamie Eichelberger, I don't hide behind a keyboard or make up fictitious names so I can't be held accountable for comments I make about, against, or towards others. Also, since you could care less, then why throw out rumors to which you are supposedly told! Stick to the facts and if you do not not have any, allow the Ridge program to try and find an excellent coach with out rumors being thrown out there by people like yourself. It's hard enough for school districts to do what is best for their programs and people like you spreading rumors makes it worse.
Did you ever stop to think about how teenage boys feel when people like you throw out rumors which makes them feel like their coach, someone they look up to, is giving up or jumping ship on them? I doubt it!
The Ridge program has passionate fans and really good kids! I wish them the best at finding a baseball coach! People like yourself spreading rumors only makes things more difficult! The people at Ridge will do their best to make the right decisions and I am sure they do not need your help, nor do they care who you THINK is on their short list.
