What happens to the rotation when Liriano and Morton are back? Obviously Sanchez is looking at a DFA, but either JMac, Locke, Morton, or Liriano head to the pen. Personally, I think Morton's stuff would have the most success in the pen, mid 90's FB with a good sinker to come in and get a ground ball. Thoughts?

Burnett, Wandy, JMac, Liriano, Locke in rotation Morton and Karstens use as spot starts or if one of the other guys starts sucking(ala JMac last year) they'll be there to step in. Read today that Liriano isn't even close though idk how a broken non pitching arm can take this long

Somewhere along the way someone will go on the 15 day list, and the depth will be appreciated. If ego's don't get in the way.

Morton will be in the rotation, Locke is doing well now but I doubt it keeps up.

Burnett, Wandy, Sanchez, JMac, Locke, Liriano, Morton, Karstens, Cole, Taillon. Thats ten pretty solid guys, as is. Somebody's maybe gotta go via trade. I know the last 2 are not on the big squad, but it won't be long.

Sanchez gone. Morris up, until Liriano comes back, then what happens.

Nice 6-4 road trip. Good to get that last one in Miller Park. From a Pirate's fan perspective, whoever moved the Brewers to the National League should be tarred and feathered. Or better yet make them spend every weekend day for the next few weeks driving through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel detour. Sorry I digress.

How long can this team keep both Barmes (word is it will soon be the Barmes' line rather than the Mendoza line) and Old McDonald on the roster? If the FO is serious about becoming a playoff level team, there is no way they can justify keeping both these guys too much longer.

If JMac struggles with his next start, I would not be surprised to see him be the one making a trip to the DL. His velocity is down and he can't find the strike zone sure signs of arm issues.
The easiest thing to do in sports is hustle.
