Sounds like one of BO'B's "feel good" moves. You know, make everyone on the team happy. "Hey mom. I'm gonna be captain next game".

Maybe let it play out and just see what it is

Just concerned about BO'B's players and recruits. Most of them fell for his "playing every home game in front of 100,000 fans" spiel. Now it's the "maybe you can be a captain for the team" every once in a while.

And who doesn't think that BO'B isn't the biggest blowhard in college football coaching? For example, during Big Ten Media Days in Chicago a few weeks ago, BO'B stated that he was going to name his starting QB by the end of the second week of camp, and then stick with him till the first game. On this past Thursday at Penn State Media Day, when reporters asked about this, BO'B exclaimed, "Just hold your horses. I said that in Chicago, but I hope you didn't mark it in your calendar". Sure, why take verbatim anything that he just said a few days earlier. He only said it because the time was right. You know, to make some headlines for the press. What will he say tomorrow?

Pour moi? And not all the reporters at both media days, all the players at PSU, all the kids that have been recruited, all the Nit fans, all those that watch the BTN, all those that read the sports pages in the local and national newspapers??? I'm flattered.
