I haven't avoided them. They are bad. I watch in disgust as I see a team with way too many centers and not enough wingers. Bad goaltending and the skill to not play the final period. Ray emery had his debacle but I'd still take him any day over mason.... Idk why the flyers are sticking with him but I'm not the gm. Like I say we are bad but 2 seasons isn't anywhere near the length it took the pens to get Crosby, Malkin, staal, fleury, and others. Right now I hope to see them dump a few people this season. The schenn brothers needed to go before they came.

Giroux has gotten assists but needs to score for the team to win.... But they aren't playing for their teams build they're playing like they have a defense and goalie that can carry them. That is no where near true. When they made playoff runs they were trying to outscore the other team with offense now they look like a team from nj or LA depending on a goaltender.

he has 4 even strength assists... I wouldn't say he has "gotten assists". He is on pace to score 41 points this year (Or roughly 1/3 of what Crosby is going to end up with) and end up at a -59. I'll give you credit for being an optimist when it comes to your sports teams but a dose of realism every now and then probably wouldn't hurt you. Oh btw, Flyers have second to worst point total in NHL and only 3 teams in the NFL have a worse record than the Steelers... good time to be Konjo.

Exactly giroux doesn't have very many points because his teams doesn't get very many points. The steelers are 2-6. A well deserved 2-6. Their defense needs major makeover, especially the lbs. Their dl has actually been playing well but they need to restart their lb core or they'll lose 2 out of 8 no matter what

He has 3 even strength assists.

Konjo- if you were the coach would you healthy scratch Giroux for a week or two? It seemed to work for Callahan as he had a decent start this year.

I mean just as Roethlisberger and Polamalo are getting blame Giroux should receive just as much. When you are using up a large amount of your teams cap space, you have to produce, no excuses. You can't get a Crosby paycheck and produce like the Mike Rupp's and Colton Orr's. Doesn't work.

Why do you think Ovechkin was so highly criticized the past few seasons. When you league has a cap and you are the highest player in the league that has to equal top of the league production. Anything less kills your team.

I think giroux wasn't ready to be back so soon with his hand injury. I would give him a healthy scratch right now, yes. And I would put him on a 2nd or 3rd line with players like courterier and have lecavlier play #1 center, as he does deserve the role

Maybe they can rejuvenate Ron Hexstall, Eric Lindros and Bobby Clarke.
