Single A football
Re: Single A football
Animus you are literally impossible to argue against, you can't be wrong and your opinion can't be swayed. Do you know why wpial schools are having success? Because they are the schools that they are pulling from and maybe it's because they are inter city. I told you why it's unfair, because save for football private and Christian/catholic schools have dominated every sport and rightly so because they have no boundaries. There has to be change or it will continue to happen. Discussion over.

If you do that, it create a system where private schools have to recruit to be competitive because you are forcing them into a disadvantage against the competition they are playing. Plenty of public schools in the state are competitive at the A level. Get over it and move on. Maybe this is the first real life lesson for these small school kids, in life some have things that make it a lot easier to be successful (money, family ties with the boss, more naturally gifted in their craft, ect.) but the challenge of life is not to give up, pout about it, or make excuses.
90% of the posts on here over the last few weeks have been on this pointless debate. PM, Bellwood, and now HC all have competed and beat these programs recently, so it's not like it can't be done. I can't get over how childish these arguments have become and it's by mainly grown adults that can't swallow their pride and admit the other team was better.
It is laughable that the solution everyone has for not winning against a private school this year is, let's make them play somewhere else. Who in their right mind wants to water down their competition? Man up play the privates and stop having built in excuses. Maybe that way your kids will work harder and be better men when they beat them.

I Agree it is a GREAT lesson for kids. In life you will have people cheat, lie and get over on the system. There is nothing you can do about it. Private schools are a perfect example of this.abpk2903 wrote:Goodness, let it go. I am a huge fan of the public school system. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!!!
Re: Single A football
I am really looking forward to the A game Saturday night. I have watched both teams this year (Homer alot of) and I think they match up well together. They are both hard nosed football teams. I think Homers on a mission this week though, these kids have been through a lot in their careers. Starting with a 0-9 year two seasons ago. They were young and had no experience. Last season they played Portage week 10 and needed to win to qualify for the playoffs. They lost a close game with a difference of a touchdown. They're hungry and would love to see them take the crown on Saturday. Looking for it to be a close one.

Neshannock, Fort Cherry, and Springdale isn't exactly inner-city.
Rather than complain, your public schools should step it's game up.

No private schools on that list, but several schools who played 20 year olds on their team.

Re: Single A football
If believing that it's wrong for schools that are essentially cheating to play against the smallest schools in the area means I want to water down competition I guess I'm guilty.
