D6sports101 and Spin you both are right on. If a kid that plays AAU is benifiting from the program they are involved in they will play with an extra gear. Most will be able to notice it.

districtsixhoops and Spin did good jobs with their observations on local girls teams. And you are right the top teams in the area have a core grouop that play AAU.
The 3 local AAU programs that I see helping the local talent are Pa Blue Thunder, Mt Cat and PA Pride.

I'm really only familiar with the pa pride one. I herd some really good girls play on those teams.

I also see in the paper a U15 boys team winning a lot. Anyone know who plays on that? It didn't give schools

I agree, playing in aau teams puts you up against top talent outside our area also. Just playing year round makes you better as in any sport.

I heard they are a pittsburgh team and have 10 real good kids and they are all good players. They beat byers team with hinton and barnes by 15 in a tourney game. That is all I heard on them.

He played on Paul Byers team and a j-town coach. Hinton was on it too. I don't know the name. Sorry. They did pretty good though, but getting all star teams vs teams that been together for years all the way up thru usually win the tourneys. They know each other and could press and all the other things as a well oiled machine. Sometimes those teams aren't the best players, but well coached and know each other.
