LOL I AGREE with the University of BG!!!!! It's true and right on the mark!!!
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!!!
Re: BC girls
While I agree that BG may recruit, they are not the only school to do so. Therefore I'm not sure why BG is singled out by a few on here all of the time. I'm guessing that it is due to jealousy??

Re: BC girls
From the Altoona Mirror article today on Coach G, his three-year record at PC was a stellar 19-52. His stint at a public school was short-lived and disastrous. Coaches in the LHAC remembered all the spankings his BC All-Star teams delivered so they were quick to return the favor. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Westmont beat PC something like 85-15 one time when he was coaching the Lady Panthers.
Now you tell me.....why not success at a public school? Does it have something to do with not being able to "R_C_U_T"? Are these coaches at the Bishops just so darn good or can anyone sit on the bench and roll a ball out when your team is a group of All-Stars?

Re: BC girls
Really makes you wonder. Can't even go .500 at a public school. Quite frankly I think you can have very modest basketball knowledge and coach these superstar teams. Makes you really respect the coaches at public schools who consistently win in high school sports!Portage Alum wrote:From the Altoona Mirror article today on Coach G, his three-year record at PC was a stellar 19-52. I think Coach G is a very good coach however his time at PC cannot be overlooked. It's much different at public schools. He learned that and didn't stay long. I think you take Moshella out of BG and put him at a public school and you would find out just how average he is. One thing I know for certain, Gongloff would not put up with the one player show that is going on at BG.

Re: BC girls
I remember Coach Gongloff when he was a coach at PC, and contrary to what is being said, his teams were for the most part very competitive. No Westmont team ever beat PC 85-15. maybe 48 -44 in the game I remember. In his last season he would have had a better than 500 record if he wasn't down 4 starters, due to various injuries for half the season. He helped build that program and that's why the following season PC had winning record. So before you judge, do your homework. As far as Portage Alum you have hate issuesusatf oldguy wrote:Really makes you wonder. Can't even go .500 at a public school.
