It is professional basketball. Just like every other sport, the game is much faster at that level, so there should be a shorter shot clock. On the other hand, maybe there shouldn't be a shot clock, like in high school, so the best passing team could win 2-0 every night? :))

I love watching high school sports highlights on tv so you can see how slow the action is at that level. It only stands to reason why the rules change the higher the level of competition.

The only reason there are any blowouts is that the Warriors are that good. They are actually all-time good! If you want to watch some 90's style NBA, watch the Hawks - Cavs. Plenty of old school Eastern Conference rolling on the floor action!!!

but if the only reason we get blowouts is because the warriors are so good why did they give up 45 points (not a typo they got more points than most teams do in a half) in the first quarter and got blown out. Its all about jump shooting and 3 pointers. Not to mention the lack of solid officiating and a clear bias towards star players and their teams.

Generally if you are ranked 2nd in the league in scoring, three point shooting, and have the runner-up in the MVP race and finish with the third best record in the league, you can put together a pretty ridiculous quarter - against anybody.

And Vice-a-versa, if you are 6-0 against a team and are trying to eliminate them on their home floor, it typically isn't easy.

Giving up 45 points in a quarter isn't just good offense it's terrible defense..... these teams are all pretty trashy compared to teams of the past.

Everyone is making a big deal about james's last game saying it was an amazing performance where it actually wasnt.... shooting 14/37 is a terrible statline. His play almost lead to the cavs losing to a team without their best player. He also has 60 Turn overs this post season which I wouldn't be surprised would be highest for playoffs right now.

That's gonna happen when u touch the ball every possession. Magic Johnson actually averaged more TO per game than any player in NBA playoff history (20 game min.).

Michael Jordan vs Jazz.
Game 1...13 for 29
Game 2...14 for 33
Game 3...7 for 14
Game 4...12 for 27
Game 5...9 for 26
Game 6...15 for 35
Less than 5 assists in every game.
Less than 8 rebounds in every game.

Makes 14 for 37 with 18 boards and 13 assists seem pretty good to me!

Keep watching high school and college hoops. I'll be busy watching the best players in the world. These guys today would smoke many of the old-timers... JS!
