well saying "you're adopted and your parents don't even love you" goes to far, so what choice is there?

Bearcat12 I hope you're prediction is spot on but even I won't go out on that limb. I've got all the faith in the world that my boys will come out on top but can't remember the last time we "shredded" a Tyrone defense. Looking forward to a great high school football game and an even better atmosphere! Dragons pull out a close one 27-20.
You play to win the game!!!

Bearcat, would you like a shot at next weeks preview? Sounds like you have a lot of wisdom from 1 day of posts.

I know that Huntingdon is not even in the same category as these 2 teams.
Tyrone will try to do what they did to Central last year up front and Central will try to get their skilled players the ball in space. Whoever does the better job will win. Tyrone will try to chew up the clock and keep Central's offense off the field. Should be a good one.
I believe this will be the expectation of all.

all i have to say is Hoenstine is going to shred tyrone's defense. I do not expect it to be close. Its about time everyone stops riding tyrone. the way you guys are talking is as if tyrone is the alabama crimson tide. they aren't that good
The Tyrone playoff streak is old enough to drink and from the posts I'd say older than you.

:)) :)) :)) Since you brought it up, yeah Tyrone pretty much is the Alabama of D6 Football. Tyrone has 10 D6 Championships, 2 State Championships and been to 4 total State Championships. More than anyone else in D6. And I will highly disagree with you that Hoenstine will "shred" Tyrone's defense...Good luck with that bud!
I thought Tyrone's only state championship in football was in 1999? When was the other? I also thought they only appeared in the modern PIAA football championship game three times going 1-2. When was the other?

Not taking anything away from Tyrone, no other team outside of State College has won more district titles. Just trying to see if I am missing something.

Back in the leather helmet days All (90% anyway) schools in the western art of the state were in western conference, and same in the eastern half with the eastern Conference, winners would meet for mythical state title.... Although with no separation (A,Aa,AAA, and AAAA) that title would mean more IMO.
Anyway 1940, Tyrone and Shenendoah were co champs after a 0-0 tie. On a side note, 5 members of that Shenendoah team ended up in NFL.

Should be a great game between two very good football Teams, could be a preview of things to come. At this point in the season I think its Central in a close one 27-21

Thanks Eagle, I knew Windber had won a few of those games and Johnstown lost a ton of them, but I never knew that Tyrone made an appearance. The more you know...
