You made the post on April 1st, pal. Guess every day is a quip when you're a Ram It's just really frustrating to a guy outside of LV (formerly of) to see the arrogance and then we all get the bad rap. LV will be a good team no doubt but we just went from winning the conference to a run away with the district. They're bumping up a class next year with the reclassifications, right? They've won maybe...two? playoff games since the merge? I dont know. I always hope the conference fairs well in the district playoffs but I'm not going to say a run away! Love the discussion though!

I would say Northern, West Shamokin, PL, and Homer could finish in any order. United could move up a little bit, but I still don't think they finish any better record wise than they did last year. Blairsville, MC, and Saltsburg could finish in any order (8-10) in the cellar.
Ligonier will run away with the conference, but it will be a lot of fun to see how all the other teams stack up with one another with so many unknowns.

If I had to rank them I would go with:

1. Ligonier Valley
2. Northern Cambria
3. Penns Manor
4. West Shamokin
5. Purchase Line
6. Homer Center
7. United
8. Blairsville
9. Marion Center
10. Saltsburg

Ligonier is one of the top five largest enrollment AA teams in the state. It is now or never. Good talent, but have to find a way to take it to the next level. Not having Central, Tyrone, Bedford, Forest Hills in AA will help greatly in the push for District VI.

If I were a Single A school in District 6, I would consider moving up to AA. No one's going to beat BG. I would rather give it a go against Ligonier Valley, Bellwood or McCort.

By the way, can anyone tell us who will be the head coach at Saltsburg? I was told that the Co Head Coaches were let go. Do we see a return for Glenn Richards?

I think we'd all love to see his return. He has a tenacity that not many coaches bring anymore. It would be great for a program like Saltsburg that needs some new energy.

I see that this thread that i started has gotten a lot of hits over the past week or so. Almost everyone is in agreement that it is Ligonier Valley's heritage conference title to lose.

I was at a track meet yesterday at Penns Manor and was told that Isaiah Scott, the star running back from Blacklick Valley transferred into Penns Manor. I personally don't know much about the kid, but was told he was a 1,200 + yard rusher at BV last year.

Never saw the kid play, but if its true, it should be a nice addition for them. They lost some good backs to graduation. Looking at Maxpreps it seems like he must be a nice player. Still doesn't give them a chance against my Rams, but they will have a decent team.
