Nothing wrong with that, some kids in that exact scenario take the Ivy League route, others take the big time college football route. After all, it's not like a degree from the University of Michigan is a bad fall back in itself.

formerbcplayer stated that FCS does not equal Division I anymore, and he has a point. FCS teams get about 62 scholarships per team per year. FBS teams get 85 scholarships per team per year. There must be some difference. After all, Penn State cried for more than two years when they had less scholarships than other FBS teams. If they were still equal, what would all the fuss or excuses have been about.

2 Players with FBS offers. Chadbourn- Temple, Navy and Army
Frederick with Army
1 with FCS offers only Irwin and yes they are IVY, but and offer from IVY is an offer of admission only. Most guys, not saying this about IRwin, couldn't get in to these IVY schools without football. IVY's can take 30 playes a year.
4 other very good players who can play in college, Trybus- size kills him he is very small, McGeary who is a little to big but has great potential and could be FCS, Then Sophomores Nick Leamer who has size but not the ht- could be FCS, Ramsey the 6'3 315 Center has size not speed- D2-FCS and than freshman K McGhee should be FBS material.
Not bad and they have. A great staff. They have the potential to be the Best Local team ever. Can't wait to go watch them. Not very often you get a chance to see history in the making.
Years from now we will have discussions about these 3 BG teams and regardless of your views on Private vs Public, their success has brought attention to area football and our players.
They also have ended the discussion of size of school and Scholarship offers. Last check from their Facebook account was 27 Offers. Seems coaches love winners not matter what level. That should attract more players to BG and they may be very good for a while. Congrats to those young men and coaches. As football fans we know it takes a lot of hard work to be that good.
