I'll take it too. Loved Orpik when he played for us; hate playing against him. He's a mean cuss....

I think orpik got right suspension length. I think letang should of been suspended 10 games. But nhl is way too inconsistent with their level of suspensions. I would of gave orpik 5

As a caps fan I will agree that Orpik should've been suspended. I think 1-2 games would've done the trick. I base that off of Bellemare getting 1 game for almost paralyzing Orlov in the first round.
In a way it's kind of a blessing on the back 6 for the caps. Orpik is an awful puck possession player and does not move the puck that well. His experience in the playoffs helps, however, he has been very prone to taking stupid penalties during the playoffs this year. They were able to play and win without him for the majority of the season. I guess it will depend on who plays in his spot. Tonight should be a good one yet again.

Letang definitely should've received something longer than Orpik. 7 games for sure (one series worth of games at least). That was some Chris Simon crap.

no way should Letang have been suspended...looking at the hit, the NHLs explanation completely holds up. Here is a very good  explanation:  http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/why-kris-letang-won-t-have-nhl-player-safety-hearing-for-slash-154651639.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter there is no way Letang took a swing like that while off balance and being crushed from the side. yes, the stick was being carried in a dangerous position...maybe a penalty COULD have been assessed...but no way was it intentional....both parties have spoken...letang apologized which, if intentional would have never happened.

Lol mr. Murray you are doing you best to justify that but majority of pens fans i know felt he should of been suspended a large amount of time.

majority? did you take a poll?  I was in Pbgh watching the game on Saturday with tons of Pens fans....nobody said he should have been suspended and trust me, that was the talk because of the Matta hit.  If you guys can't see by the explanation and video I posted it isn't my fault.

Well he's going to get the suspension this time around though. Hoping it's just a single game, I don't think it will be three like Orpik but may well be two....sigh
