Anyone have any update on how local leagues are shaking out? Who's in the Hollidaysburg league playoffs? Building 2 has/had BG, Bedford, Penn Cambria and Penns Manor. As far as I understand Bedford and Penns Manor will play for the championship on Wednesday. Who does everyone have there?

Building 2 is a fine league but often has younger teams from the larger schools in it. Very often Altoona and Hollidaysburg have had JV or jr hi teams playing there. Others as well.

The four teams that will be in the playoffs at Hollidaysburg are Altoona, Bellwood, JV and BC.

Who will win Building 2 between Bellwood and Penns Manor.  I saw each of them a few times last year.  I know Bellwood always puts a strong group together but Penns Manor had some underclassmen that could really play last year.  it'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Who does everyone have at Hollidaysburg?  Altoona and BC?  Bellwood?

If both teams bring their varsity players I would take Bellwood over PM. In at Hollidaysburg I would favor Altoona because of their size and depth but, in all honesty, I could see Bellwood or BC winning it to. Who is on vacation, who is away doing other things? As in all summer league games that could have much to do with it.

I stopped by building II yesterday to watch the championship game there as one of my good pals from high school has a daughter playing there.  Penns Manor and Bellwood were playing.  A great game.  Penns Manor led for most of it and were up by I believe almost double digits at one point.  They gave up their lead at 5 minutes left but then a girl hit a 3 to put them up the very next trip.  Both teams have got some pretty impressive ball players.
Was penns manor in the hollidaysburg league? wondering how they did there.

I believe PM was playing Bedford not Bellwood.

You're right!  It was Bedford.  Seemed like a decent team.  PM play at Hollidaysburg?  How do those two teams measure up against the Hollidaysburg league playoff teams?

I always thought building 2 was JV, so if that is true and Bedford and Penns Manor played their varsity players, then I am not sure that is showing anyone information on how their season's could be. The Shuke girl is a nice player.....Much improved. Sounds like BG is just one big hot mess right now...Karma is a ****. HOWEVER...Benzel still has good players around her. They just won't be a powerhouse. IF what I am reading is true, BG needs to just bring the ax down on the coach and let the girls have a season without a dark cloud. Does anyone even want to play for him? Must have a huge ego to stay when nobody wants to play for him. I think it is no secret that BC, JV, and Bellwood will be at the top. After watching Blairsville last year against BG and I think they have most coming back and will be tough too. I also saw HC last year and they were a young team too. Rumor has it that Penns Manor is a sleeper team who will surprise some people this year, but as mentioned earlier not sure Building 2 competition was the best. The Crushers will also have the Thomas girl.

I know this was in summer but penns manor won the B2 league. And yes they played Bedford not Bellwood.great game. Both teams have nice pieces.and yes some teams played their younger players. Still a solid league. And no pm did not play at holidaysburg. But hopefully this summer!
