Not sure why you knock the LHAC
, its by far a better overall conference. I don't even see that as being questionable
Because it's comparing Apples and Oranges. Heritage (A-AA), LHAC (A-AAAA) the A team being BG.
Not necessarily, kids put up the same stats against bigger schools. Doesn't matter that the schools are bigger, that just supports that the conference is better. It's like comparing the SEC to the PSAC, yes the schools are bigger but the SEC is clearly better.

Purchase Line and Ligonier are in the same conference
The conference discussion is totally separate, and it's not questionable. Some teams in other conferences can and have beat LHAC teams, but overall the LHAC is generally stronger overall and yes, it has bigger schools, so it should be.
How can you compare the SEC to the PSAC, the SEC is D-I and PSAC is D-II its nowhere near the same discussion. The best PSAC team wouldn't beat the worst SEC team

I also remember a couple years ago an LHAC QB put up similar numbers to Smith in only nine games something like 1600 yds passing and 1000 yds rushing and did not win offensive player of the year so i wouldnt consider him a lock. I wouldnt be surprised if Johnstown makes a run that Gibson wins it

Let's not forget that Smith has only played 18 quarters this year so far. Looking at roughly 4.5 games.

Perhaps he will be named defensive player of the year if someone else gets offensive? His numbers are off the chart, but Gibson and St. Claire have good numbers also, as does Hite.
All four of those guys would make any of us happy to have on the team we root for.

That's what I'm saying, there is no comparison even though it is D1 vs D2. Someone said the LHAC and Heritage can't be compared because it's "apples and oranges". Sure what Smith has done is impressive but it is a weaker conference

We need to see Smith against a top team. His worst game for total yards was game 1 with 215 yards. Hite, St. Clair, and Gibson have all had games where they were shutdown offensively. We need to see Smith against a stacked team to make a good judgement on him. Nothing against the Heritage, but he's made chopped liver of it. Playoffs will put everything into perspective.

Hopefully LV and McCort get to play each other.

I have a feeling that it will be LV and B-A after Bellwood edges McCort in the second round.
